Objectives The influencing factors of serum resistin and its correlation with blood lipids were investigated by analyzing the resistin level in a cohort with different lipid tolerances.Methods All participants were recruited from the Endocrine Clinic of Hebei General Hospital and signed an informed consent.According to a routine physical exanimating program and the oral glucose tolerance test,a total of 132 volunteers were enlisted according to the including and excluding criteria.After elution by normal diet for a week,volunteers took a standard high-fat meal within 10 minutes in the morning after fasting for more than 8 hours.Fasting blood and postprandial blood of 2h,4h and 6h after high fat meal was collected.Based on the fasting and 4h postprandial triglyceride,subjects were assigned into three groups: normal fat tolerance group(NFT)with fasting TG < 1.7mmol/L and 4h TG < 2.5mmol/L,impaired fat tolerance to reduce group(IFT)with fasting TG <1.7mmol/L and 4h TG > 2.5mmol/L and high-fat group(HTG)with fasting TG >1.7mmol/L.SPSS25.0 software was used to analyze the data.Results 1 General situation of the three groups: there were no statistical differences in gender,age,height,diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure among the three groups.Three groups showed significant difference in body weight,waist circumference,BMI,fasting blood glucose,fasting insulin,HOMA-IR and uric acid(P < 0.05),and increased gradually with the decrease of fat tolerance.2 The changes of blood lipid in three groups before and after high fat meal:(1)Comparison of fasting blood lipid in three groups: the levels of fasting triglyceride,total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in three groups were gradually increased with the decrease of lipid tolerance(P< 0.01).The fasting high density lipoprotein cholesterol level in the three groups decreased gradually with the decrease of lipid tolerance(P < 0.01).(2)Comparison of postprandial blood lipids among three groups: 2h,4h and 6h triglyceride was gradually increased with the decrease of lipid tolerance at after high fat meal(P < 0.01).In addition,the triglyceride level in each group showed an upward trend after high-fat meal.The peak of triglyceride level in the NFT group was 2h,the peak of IFT group was 4h,and the level of HTG group was always increased.There were significant differences in triglyceride levels between the three groups at different time points and in general(P < 0.05).The total cholesterol level at2 h,4h and 6h was increased with the decrease of lipid tolerance after high fat meal(P <0.01).The total cholesterol level in each group was gradually increased with the prolongation of high-fat diet time,and the differences at different time points and overall were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The level of HDL cholesterol in the three groups was gradually decreased with the decrease of lipid tolerance at 2h,4h and 6h after high fat diet(P < 0.01).The level of HDL cholesterol in each group gradually decreased with the prolongation of high-fat diet time,and the differences at different time points and overall were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The LDL cholesterol level in the three groups was gradually increased with the decrease of lipid tolerance at 2h,4h and 6h after high-fat meal(P < 0.01).The level of LDL cholesterol in each group gradually decreased with the prolongation of high-fat diet time,and reached the lowest point at 4h.There were statistically significant differences between the three groups at different time points and overall(P < 0.05).3 The changes of resistin levels in the three groups before and after fasting and high fat diet were as follows:(1)The fasting resistin level was NFT group <IFT group < HTG group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).(2)2h,4h and 6h level of resistin increased with the decrease of lipid tolerance(P < 0.01).The level of resistin in IFT group and HTG group increased gradually with time,and the difference at each time point was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the level of resistin in NFT group at each time point after high fat meal(P > 0.05).4 Resistin level was positively correlated with body weight,waist circumference,BMI,fasting insulin,TG,and levels,and negatively correlated with HDL-C(P < 0.05).Conclusions 1 With the severity of impaired lipid tolerance,the serum resistin level increased,and continued to increase in the high triglyceride group and the reduced lipid tolerance group after lipid meal.Resistin secretion is closely related to the changes of lipid metabolism.2 Serum resistin is correlated with waist circumference,BMI,body weight,TG and HDL-C,suggesting resistin is an important indicator of metabolic disorders.Figure [5];Table [7];Reference [136]...
