| Objective:To compare the ultrasonic manifestations and pathological results of endometrial polyps(EP)in perimenopause and menopause, and to determine the frequency and predict the risk factors of endometrial polyp malignant lesions. Methods: 279 patients suffered endometrial polyps confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively from June 2017 to February 2019.Results: among 279 patients,22 were malignant endometrial carcinoma(7.89%),the rest of them were benign, including 210 polyps(75.26%),30 simple hyperplasia(10.75%),8 submucous myomas(2.87%),7 atrophic endometrium(2.51%),2polypoid adenomyomas(0.72%).Age was associated with endometrial malignancy or = 2.68(95% CI = [1.08-6.66],P < 0.01)by univariate analysis. The cutoff value of ROC curve was 54 years old.The incidence of polyp malignant transformation was14.71% in patients over 54 years old,9.80% in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB),and 8.81% in patients with polypoid lesions larger than 18 mm in diameter. Conclusion: Endometrial polyps are found by ultrasonography among perimenopausal and menopausal patients over 54 years old,if AUB or polyp diameter is greater than 18 mm,the risk of malignant lesions is higher than the others. |
