Objective:Measure the value of LVEDV and IVC-CI by ultrasound, then calculate the correlation between CVP and LVEDV,CVP and IVC-CI by Pearson,at last evaluate which is the better way to assess the blood volume of patients.Methods:50 patients should be chosen, who got treated in urinary surgery of Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical Colleague, diagnosed benign prostatic hyperplasia and underwent trans urethral resection prostate. All the patients should accept central vena catheterization, and measure the value of CVP by Central venous pressure gauge.Measure the value of LVEDV and IVC-CI by ultrasound.Record the value of CVP,LVEDV and IVC-CI at preoperative, after preload(6ml/kg),after lithotomy, start of resection(level of anesthesia achieves T6),30 min after resection and postoperation respectively.Record the value of hemoglobin, blood sodium and serum potassium at preoperative and postoperative, and record the situation of patients.Results:300 readings was collected.By Pearson formula, the correlation between CVP and LVEDV is positive(R=0.601 and significant P<0.001),the correlation between CVP and IVC-CI is negative(R=-0.960 and significant P<0.001).Choose CVP as a standard, and make CVP>12cm H2O as overload blood volume, the ROC curve showed that the AUC of LVEDV is 0.783,cut-off is 112.56cm3,sensitivity is 0.778,specificity is 0.674,and the AUC of IVC-CI is 0.995,cut-off is 0.31,sensitivity is 1,specificity is 0.968.Conclusion:IVC-CI is a better way than LVEDV to assess the blood volume of patients by trans thoracic echocardiography who undergo trans urethral resection prostate.
