Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Acute Gouty Arthritis With Damp-heat Syndrome By Damp-heat Gout Prescription

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of damp-heat gout prescription in treating acute gouty arthritis(damp-heat accumulation syndrome)by observing the changes of TCM syndrome scores,main symptoms and signs related to gout and laboratory examination indexes before and after taking medicine,and to provide an effective basis for its clinical promotion.Methods: A prospective,randomized and controlled study was conducted.80 eligible patients were randomly divided into experimental group and cont rol group with 40 cases in each group.The control group was given basic treatment plus oral celecoxib capsule,and the experimental group was given basic treatment plus oral damp-heat gout prescription(formula granule of Chinese medicine).After one week of treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes and main clinical symptoms related to gout were observed.Signs,physical and chemical indexes(ESR,CRP,uric acid,blood routine,liver and kidney function)and so on.Results: 80 cases were included in this study,and 80 cases were observed.1.Curative effect analysis: The total effective rate was 92.5% in the experimental group and 85% in the control group(P>0.05).2.Integral analysis of TCM syndromes: The total score of TCM syndromes in the two groups was significantly lower than the baseline value(P<0.05);after treatment,the score of TCM in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).3.Analysis of main symptoms and signs: After treatment,the score of mainsymptoms and signs(joint tenderness,swelling,red,fever and VAS score)in both groups decreased significantly compared with the baseline value(P<0.05);after treatment,the scores of joint redness,fever and tenderness in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the scores of joint swelling and VAS were similar to those in the control group(P> 0.05).4.Laboratory index analysis: After treatment,ESR,CRP and UA in the two groups were significantly lower than baseline values(P< 0.05);after treatment,ESR and CRP in the experimental group were similar to those in the control group(P > 0.05),and UA was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).5.Safety analysis: There was no significant change in the safety indicators of the two groups.The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.5% in the experimental group and 7.5% in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: Damp-heat gout prescription is effective in treating acute gout with Damp-heat accumulation syndrome.It can effectively improve t he symptoms and signs of traditional Chinese medicine,alleviate clinical symptoms and signs,reduce inflammatory indicators such as ESR and CRP,and reduce UA with fewer adverse reactions.It is worth further research and further application.
