| Objective: To explore the correlation between clinical characteristics and pathological characteristics of patients with hypopharyngeal cancer complicated with esophageal cancer,and to provide some clinical inspiration.Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 60 patients with hypopharyngeal cancer admitted to our hospital from October 2010 to October 2017.All the patients were accompanied by basic symptoms such as dysphagia,and the proportion of patients with synchronous esophageal cancer was determined by further examination through gastroscopy and CT.The patients were divided into two groups: hypopharyngeal cancer group(HC group)and hypopharyngeal cancer with esophageal cancer(HC&EC group).The general sociological data,clinicopathological data,basic diseases(hypertension,diabetes,coronary heart disease)and other relevant information of patients in the two groups were collected,the correlation was analyzed,the risk factors of hypopharyngeal cancer associated with esophageal cancer were analyzed,and the prognosis was analyzed.Results: The age,gender,family tumor history,tumor location,tumor stage and invasion site of patients had little correlation with the increased incidence of esophageal cancer in patients with hypopharyngeal cancer,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The history of smoking,drinking and hypertension could increase the probability of esophageal cancer in patients with hypopharyngeal cancer,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)The history of smoking,drinking,hypertension and diabetes mellitus are the high risk factors of hypopharyngeal cancer associated with esophageal cancer.(2)The survival time of HC&EC group was significantly lower than that of HC group;Therefore,it is very necessary for the early prevention and screening of esophageal cancer in patients with hypopharyngeal cancer,and the control of patients’ underlying diseases is also related to the prognosis to a certain extent. |
