Objective: To evaluate the frailty of the aged in hospital with Fried decline scale, and to explore the distribution law of frailty weakness syndrome type of TCM through the analysis of the related indexes of frailty weakness syndrome and nutritional status,to clarify the correlation between nutritional status and frailty,so as to provide some reference for the prevention and treatment of frailty. Methods: The senile inpatients were divided into two groups: the infirm group(N = 130)and the non-infirm group(N = 130),to collect the data of four diagnoses of Chinese medicine and related indexes of nutritional status for the included cases, and to identify the syndrome types of Chinese medicine by differentiation of symptoms and signs of Chinese medicine.By using SPSS22.0 statistical software to test and analyze the indexes and data of the two groups of patients,to analyze the distribution law of deficiency syndrome type of TCM and the correlation between nutritional status and frailty.Results:1、A total of 260 cases were included in this study.(1)there were 130 cases in the decrepit group,58 cases(44.6%)in males and 72 cases(55.4%)in females, and 130 cases(53.8%)in the non-decrepit group and 60 cases(42.6%)in females. There was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).(2)the mean age of the decrepit group was(79.45 ± 6.125)years old,including(60-69)years old in 8 cases(6.2%),(70-79)years old in 55 cases(42.3%),(80-89)years old in 67 cases(51.5%),(74.16 ± 6.31)years old in the non-decrepit group, among them,33 cases(25.4%)aged 60-69,68 cases(52.3%)aged 70-79,and 29 cases(22.3%)aged 80-89 were most common in the weak group and most common in the non-weak group, the age difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P< 0.05).(3)the frequency of the declination score in the declination group was as follows: 3(14 cases),4(30 cases),5(36 cases),6(33 cases),7(14 cases);the frequency of the declination score in the non-declination group was as follows: 0(49 cases),1(48 cases),2(33 cases),the age and weakness scores of the two groups were significantly different(P< 0.05).2、(1)the proportion of TCM syndrome types of 260 cases studied is as follows: 84 cases(32.3%)of deficiency of qi and blood,57 cases(21.9%)of deficiency of spleen and blood,52 cases(20%)of deficiency of five viscera,38 cases(14.6%)of deficiency of kidney-essence,29 cases(11.2%)of deficiency of spleen and kidney-yang,deficiency of qi and blood and weakness of five viscera were the most common in the weak group, and deficiency of Qi and blood and phlegm-dampness were the most common in the non-weak group.(2)the statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the distribution of TCM syndrome types between the two groups(P> 0.05),and the difference of TCM syndrome types between the two groups was statistically significant(P< 0.05),there was no significant difference of TCM syndrome types between male and female(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference of TCM syndrome types among different age groups(P> 0.05).3 、 The first 8 symptoms in the weak group were: mental fatigue 92.3%,palpitation86.2%,fatigue 80.0%,weight loss 73.0%,dizziness 56.2%,sodium difference 52.3%,lumbago 45.4%,insomnia 41.5%;The first 8 symptoms were dizziness(84.6%),palpitation(80.0%),shortness of breath(80.0%),fatigue(80.0%),insomnia(73.8%),lumbago and genu weakness(63.1%),sodium deficiency(61.5%),tinnitus(50.0%)and emaciation(36.2%)The tongue and pulse condition of the two groups were the most common with thin white tongue coating and weak pulse.4.Comparing the relative indexes of nutritional status between the weak group and the non-weak group, the difference between the mid-arm circumference, the calf circumference, the prealbumin, the total protein and the albumin was significant(P< 0.05),there was no significant difference in BMI between the two groups(P> 0.05).The correlation regression analysis showed that prealbumin, total protein and albumin were negatively correlated with the onset of frailty(B value was negative and P< 0.05)There was no correlation between BMI,mid-arm circumference and calf circumference and frailty(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1.There was no significant difference in the sex of the patients between the weak group and the non-weak group;there was difference in age between the two groups, and the frailty occurred most frequently in the patients over 80 years old;The older the age group, the higher the score of frailty, frailty and age-related decline.2.Deficiency of qi and blood and weakness of five zang-organs are the most common TCM syndromes in senile patients, the others are deficiency of spleen and phlegm-dampness,deficiency of kidney essence and deficiency of spleen and kidney yang, there was no significant difference in TCM syndrome types between the two groups and in different age groups.3.There were differences in TCM syndromes between the two groups. In the weak group, the most common symptoms were mental exhaustion, palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, emaciation, dizziness, poor receptivity, weakness in waist and knees, and insomnia, the symptoms of dizziness, palpitation, shortness of breath, fatigue, insomnia, lumbar and knee weakness, poor reception, tinnitus and emaciation were common in the non-weak group.4.There were significant differences in the indexes of nutritional status between the groups of mid-arm circumference, calf circumference, prealbumin, total albumin and albumin, and prealbumin, total albumin and albumin had an independent negative correlation with frailty, the lower the protein value, the higher the incidence of frailty, the prealbumin, total protein and albumin can be used as the observation index of frailty, but the BMI,mid-arm circumference and calf circumference have no direct correlation with frailty.
