| Objective: Using disease-free survival as a key research indicator,a retrospective study is conduct to analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of patients with triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)after Chinese medicine intervention, with a view to objectively evaluating the effect of Chinese medicine on the disease-free survival(DFS)of patients after TNBC through statistical methods, and providing a basis for the participation of Chinese medicine in the treatment of TNBC.The aim was to objectively evaluate the effect of TCM on the disease-free survival(DFS)of postoperative patients with TNBC by statistical methods and to provide some practical basis for the involvement of TCM in the treatment of TNBC.Methods: Clinical data of postoperative TNBC patients admitted to the outpatient and inpatient departments of the Department of Oncology,Guanghua Hospital,Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 1,2015,to December 31,2018,were collected according to the inclusion criteria, and the patients’ disease-free survival time was recording on follow-up,and the influence of their clinical characteristics and pathological features on DFS was analyzed univariately, and the indicators with statistical significance in the univariate analysis were included in the Cox proportional risk regression model for multifactorial analysis. The impact of each factor on the postoperative DFS of TNBC patients was assessed. Results: 1.A total of 132 postoperative patients with triple-negative breast cancer were included in this study, and all received Chinese medicine treatment. The median follow-up time was 42.53 ± 5.97 months. The mean DFS was 42.77 months. The patients’ disease-free survival rates at years 1,2 and 3 were 95.4%,84.5%,and62.3%.2.The results of the univariate analysis suggested that age at diagnosis, family history, pathological staging,T-stage,N-stage,Ki-67,E-cadherin,P53,vascular infiltration, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, adjuvant chemotherapy, blanking period of herbal intervention, duration of continuous administration of herbal medicine, and duration of intravenous preparation of herbal medicine were factors affecting DFS in postoperative TNBC patients(P < 0.05).3.Cox multifactor analysis suggested that T stage,N stage,E-cadherin,neoadjuvant chemotherapy, adjuvant chemotherapy, herbal intervention gap period, duration of continuous herbal medicine and the term of herbal intravenous preparation were prognostic factors affecting DFS in patients with TNBC(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Patients with young age at diagnosis, family history of tumor, pathological staging of invasive ductal carcinoma, high T-stage,N-stage,a high percentage of Ki-67,negative E-cadherin expression, positive P53,positive vascular infiltration, and postoperative TNBC patients without neoadjuvant chemotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy had significantly lower DFS and disease-free survival rates at1,2 and 3 years. In addition, the blanking period of Chinese medicine intervention, the duration of continuous administration of Chinese medicine, and the course of intravenous preparation of Chinese medicine was also prognostic correlates affecting the DFS of postoperative patients with TNBC(P < 0.05).It is suggested that the involvement of TCM in the treatment had a positive impact on postoperative patients with triple-negative breast cancer, and there was a positive correlation between the dose, duration, and length of administration. The earlier the TCM intervention was used in clinical treatment and the longer the term of TCM treatment, the longer the disease-free survival of postoperative patients with TNBC.the higher the disease-free survival rate at years 1,2 and 3. |
