| Objective:To explore clinical effect of balanced chiropractic treatment on intercostal neuralgia of spinal origin, aiming to provide a simple, safe and effective optimization scheme for the treatment of spinal intercostal neuralgia. Methods:A total of 50 cases meeting the inclusion criteria were collected, use the random number table method to group, divided into control group(acupuncture and massage group)and treatment group(balanced chiropractic group)with 25 cases in each group. All patients were treated once every two days for 10 times in total.Pain scores, motor function scores, and thoracic range of motion were recorded before and after treatment. Finally, the total efficiency is calculated.Results:1.To compare general information between the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.To compare observation indexes between the two groups after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),indicating that both treatments had good efficacy.3.After treatment,VAS scores comparison between groups showed that balanced chiropractic treatment was significantly better than conventional acupuncture and massage treatment(P<0.01).4.After treatment, motor function scores comparison between the groups showed that balanced chiropractic treatment was significantly better than conventional acupuncture and massage treatment(P<0.01).5.After treatment, thoracic range of motion scores comparison between the groups showed that balanced chiropractic treatment was significantly better than conventional acupuncture and massage treatment(P<0.01).6.After treatment,to compare the clinical efficacy between the groups, the total effective rate of acupuncture and massage group was 91.30%,and the total effective rate of balanced chiropractic group was 95.83%,with no statistical significance(P>0.05),indicating that both treatments had clinical efficacy. However, the cure rate of conventional acupuncture and massage group was only 21.74%,while the cure rate of balanced chiropractic group was as high as 75.00%,showed that balanced chiropractic treatment was significantly better than conventional acupuncture and massage treatment. Conclusion:Both balanced chiropractic treatment and conventional acupuncture and massage treatment have good efficacy on intercostal neuralgia of spinal origin, but the curative effect of balanced chiropractic treatment is outstanding, can cure patients more effectively, eliminate their pain, improve their activity function, strengthen their range of thoracic activity,is a simple, safe and effective treatment plan, worthy of clinical promotion. |
