Objective:To investigate the changes of motor function after the placement and stabilization of condyle with stable splint. Methods:Through the condylar position indicator, the difference between the median position and the maximum apical interposition in the vertical and sagittal direction, and the horizontal displacement difference was lower than that of 1.0mm and 0.5mm,respectively.20 patients in the control group were selected as the control group, and 20 patients in the experimental group were selected as the experimental group. The electronic facial arch AxioquickRecorder(Version1.0 Manual)made by SAM manufacturer was used to record the movement of the maximum opening and closing mouth, protrusion and lateral mandible. We took the kinematics center as the reference point. Results:During the maximum opening and closing mouth movement, the range of bilateral condylar motion in the preoperative group was smaller than that in the control group on the Sagittal axis and Vertical axis(P<0.05),and larger on the Frontal axis than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the range of bilateral condylar motion in the experimental group was similar to that in the control group on Sagittal axis,Vertical axis and Frontal axis(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).In the process of protrusive movement, the range of bilateral condylar motion in the experimental group was smaller than that in the control group on the Sagittal axis and Vertical axis(P<0.05),and larger on the Frontal axis(P<0.05).After treatment, the range of bilateral condylar motion in the experimental group was similar to that in the control group on Sagittal axis,Vertical axis and Fronta axis(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).During the left lateral movement, the range of motion of the right condyle in the experimental group was smaller than that in the control group on the Sagittal axis and Vertical axis before treatment(P<0.05),and similar to that in the control group on the Frontal axis(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the range of motion of the right condyle in the experimental group was similar to that in the control group on the Sagittal axis,Vertical axis and Fronta axis P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups. Before treatment, the range of left condylar motion in the experimental group was larger than that in the control group on the Fronta axis(P<0.05),and was similar to that in the control group in Sagittal axis and Vertical axis(P>0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the range of left condylar motion in the experimental group was similar to that in the control group on Sagittal axis,Vertical axis and Fronta axis(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).In the process of right lateral movement, the range of left condylar motion in the experimental group was smaller than that in the control group on Sagittal axis,Vertical axis and Frontal axis before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the range of left condylar motion in the experimental group was similar to that in the control group(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Before treatment, the range of motion of the right condyle in the experimental group was larger than that in the control group on the Vertical axis and Frontal axis(P<0.05),indicating that the displacement of the right condyle was larger in the course of movement, and was similar to that in the control group on the Sagittal axis(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups. After treatment, the range of motion of the right condyle in the experimental group was similar to that in the control group on the Sagittal axis,Vertical axis and Frontal axis(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups, indicating that the functional range of motion of the experimental group was similar to that of the control group after treatment. Conclusion:after the treatment of unstable jaw position, the track range of the movement center of the patients with unstable jaw position is similar to that of the control group. It is considered that the placement and stabilization of the condyle with the stable splint can restore the good physiological function of the temporomandibular joint.
