ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of acupuncture of regulating Ren meridian and dredging Du meridian in the treatment of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis type of post-stroke spastic hemiplegia as well as the objectivity of STE/STQ elastography as evaluation indicator.MethodsSixty patients with upper extremity Spastic hemiplegia of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis conforming standards were randomly assigned into the treatment group and the control group.On the basis of the corresponding medical treatment and conventional rehabilitation treatment,the treatment group was treated by the acupuncture of regulating Ren meridian and dredging Du meridian as well as the other group treated by conventional methods of acupuncture.The scores of Modified Ashworth Scale,Barthel Index,TCM symptom score and shear wave velocity of musculus biceps brachii and musculus triceps brachii in affected upper limb were recorded to evaluate the clinical effect by SPSS.And pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between the data.Results1.Comparison of basic informationAll patients were compared with baseline data before treatment,there was no significant difference in gender,age and course of disease between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of the MAS scoreThere was no significant difference in MAS score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the MAS scores of these two groups were significantly lower than before(P<0.01).And there was no significant difference in MAS score between the two groups(P>0.05).The D-value of MAS score between the two groups was significant(P<0.01).The results showed that acupuncture in both the treatment group and the control group could reduce the MAS score of patients with post-stroke muscle spasm,and the efficacy was similar.3.Comparison of the BI scoreThere was no significant difference in BI score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).And after treatment,BI score of the two groups increased(P<0.01),and the treatment group increased obviously compared with the control group(P<0.05).The results showed that both the treatment group and the control group could significantly improve the daily living ability of patients,and the treatment group was better.4.Comparison of the shear wave velocityThe shear wave velocity of musculus biceps brachii and musculus triceps brachii in two groups before treatment were comparable(P>0.05).After treatment,SWV of muscles in two groups decreased significantly(P<0.01),and the SWV of musculus biceps brachii in the treatment group decreased more significantly than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in SWV of musculus triceps brachii between the two groups(P>0.05).Results indicate that the treatment group and control group all can effectively reduce the patient’s SWV,and in reducing SWV of musculus biceps brachii,the treatment group is better.In reducing SWV of musculus triceps brachii,the efficacy of the two groups was similar.5.Correlation analysisCorrelation analysis showed that MAS scores was negatively correlated with BI score.And the SWV of biceps was positively correlated with SWV of triceps and MAS scores.6.Comparison of TCM symptom scoreBefore treatment,the baseline level of TCM symptom score of the treatment group and the control group was comparable(P>0.05).After treatment,TCM symptom score of the two groups decreased(P<0.01),and the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The results show that these two groups both have a greater improvement on the discomfort symptoms of stroke patients,and the treatment group is better than the control group.ConclusionSTE/STQ elastography technology can more directly and sensitive detect the muscle state of patients with upper limb spastic hemiplegia after stroke,and it can be used as an objective and quantitative index to evaluate the clinical efficacy of spasticity.Moreover,Regulating Ren meridian and Dredging Du meridian has good effect on Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis type of post-stroke spastic hemiplegia,which is worthy of further clinical application.
