| ObjectiveTo explore the effects of PERMA mode of positive psychological intervention on breast cancer patients’ positive psychological capital,benefit discovery level,perceived stress,fear of cancer recurrence,subjective well-being;To provide a scientific and effective way to promote the mental health of breast cancer patients by constructing a positive psychological intervention program.MethodsSixty-four breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy in the breast surgery department of a level-III hospital in Shaoyang from December 2019 to February 2020 were selected by convenience sampling method.They were randomly divided into control group and intervention group with 32 cases in each group.Due to the loss of sample size,they were divided into control group and intervention group with 30 cases in each group.Control group breast cancer patients to carry out routine nursing;Intervention group breast cancer patients on the basis of conventional nursing for 8 weeks of active psychological intervention,once a week,30 to 50 minutes each time.The efficacy of the intervention was evaluated by using the Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire,Benefit Discovery Scale,Chinese version of the Perceived Stress Scale,Chinese version of the Simplified Fear of Disease Progression Scale for Cancer Patients,and the Subjective Well-being Index Scale before,at the end of 4 weeks and 8 weeks of the intervention.SPSS23.0was used for data entry and analysis,including descriptive analysis,t test,chi-square test,rank sum test and repeated measurement analysis of variance.Results(1)Before intervention,there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of general demographic data,positive psychological capital questionnaire scores,benefit discovery scale scores,Chinese version of perceived stress scale scores,Chinese version of simplified scale of fear of disease progression and happiness index scores.(2)At the end of 4 weeks after intervention,the total score of positive psychological capital in the intervention group(125.57±18.79)was higher than that in the control group(113.13±17.44),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At the end of 8 weeks after intervention,the total score of positive psychological capital in the intervention group(134.43±17.59)was higher than that in the control group(113.67±16.35),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total score of positive psychological capital and the scores of each dimension of breast cancer patients in the two groups were analyzed by repeated measures of variance analysis,and the differences in time effect,inter-group effect and interaction effect were statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)At the end of 4 weeks of intervention,the benefit discovery score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,which was statistically significant.After 8 weeks of intervention,the benefit discovery score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,which was statistically significant.The benefit discovery scores of breast cancer patients in the two groups were analyzed by repeated measures of variance analysis,and the differences in time effect,inter-group effect and interaction effect were statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)At the end of 4 weeks after intervention,the total score of perceived stress in the intervention group(35.47±5.13)was lower than that in the control group(39.17±5.27),with statistical significance(P<0.05).At the end of 8weeks after intervention,the total score of perceived pressure in the intervention group(32.77±4.63)was lower than that in the control group(38.63±4.93),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total score of perceived stress and the scores of each dimension of breast cancer patients in the two groups were analyzed by repeated measures of variance analysis,and the differences in time effect,inter-group effect and interaction effect were statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)At the end of 4 weeks after intervention,the total score of fear of cancer recurrence in the intervention group(34.60±3.78)was lower than that in the control group(38.17±3.96),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At the end of 8 weeks after intervention,the total score of fear of cancer recurrence in the intervention group(31.17±3.60)was lower than that in the control group(37.47±4.08),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Repeated measure ANOVA was performed on the total score of fear of cancer recurrence and the scores of each dimension of breast cancer patients in the two groups,and there were statistically significant differences in time effect,inter-group effect and interaction effect(P<0.05).(6)At the end of 4 weeks of intervention,the scores of subjective well-being in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group,which was statistically significant.After 8 weeks of intervention,the scores of subjective well-being in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group,which was statistically significant.The total score of subjective well-being of breast cancer patients in the two groups was analyzed by repeated measures of variance,and the differences in time effect,inter-group effect and interaction effect were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionsPositive psychological intervention under the PERMA model can improve the level of positive psychological capital and benefit discovery of breast cancer patients,so as to improve the perceived stress of breast cancer patients,reduce the fear of cancer recurrence,and enhance subjective well-being. |
