| Objective:To evaluate the effects of maternal sound stimulation,non-nutritional sucking, and maternal sound stimulation combined with non-nutritional sucking caused by venipuncture in NICU,and to compare the effects of three interventions.Methods:116 children were admitted to the NICU of a third grade hospital in Hunan province since January 2020 to July 2020 were randomly divided into a control group, maternal sound stimulation group,non-nutritional sucking group and maternal sound stimulation combined with non-nutritional sucking group. The control group was routinely given swaddling wrap during venipuncture, while the intervention group was given maternal sound stimulation,non-nutritional sucking and maternal sound stimulation combined with non-nutritional sucking respectively. The interventions were given to the four groups began from 2mimutes before venipuncture and 5 mimutes after the venipuncture. The pain was evaluated by using the heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, pain score, pain and crying time of the four groups before, during and 5mimutes after the venipuncture.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in the general data characteristics of newborns among the four groups(P>0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in the heart rate of four groups before venipuncture and within 5 minutes after venipuncture(P>0.05);The heart rate of the four groups of newborns in NNS group,MSS group and MSS+NNS group were lower than those in the control group during venipuncture and at 1 mimute after venipuncture(P<0.05);The heart rate of the four groups of newborns in MSS+NNS group was lower than those in NNS group and MSS group(P<0.05);the difference was statistically significant.(3)The blood oxygen saturation of the four groups of newborns in NNS group,MSS group and MSS+NNS group were higher than those in the control group during venipuncture and at 1 minute after venipuncture(P<0.05);The blood oxygen saturation of the four groups of newborns in MSS+NNS group was higher than those in NNS group and MSS group(P<0.05);the difference was statistically significant.(4)There was no significant difference in pain score of four groups at5 minutes after venipuncture(P>0.05);The pain scores of newborns in NNS group,MSS group and MSS+NNS group were lower than those in the control group during venipuncture and at 1 minute,2 minutes,3minutes,4 minutes(P<0.05);The pain scores of newborns in MSS+NNS group were lower than those in NNS group and MSS group during venipuncture;the difference was statistically significant.(5)The time of the painful face, crying appeared later in NNS group,MSS group and MSS+NNS group than those in the control group during venipuncture(P<0.05),The painful face and crying duration in NNS group,MSS group and MSS+NNS group were shorter than those in the control group during venipuncture(P<0.05),the crying duration in NNS group,MSS group and MSS+NNS group were shorter than those in the control group after venipuncture(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions:(1)The three interventions of maternal sound stimulation,non-nutritional sucking and maternal sound stimulation combined with non-nutritional sucking can reduce the pain score, decrease the heart rate and increase blood oxygen saturation during venipuncture. They can also delay the time of the painful face and crying appeared, and also shorten the duration of the painful face and crying.(2)The effect of maternal sound stimulation combined with non-nutritional sucking is better than other two intervention, which is significant in nursing care. |
