Study On Spatial Layout And Influencing Factors Of Medical Service Institutions In Jiangxia Of Wuhan

Our country’s economic system has changed from a highly centralized planned economy system to a market economy system,which has led to the transformation of public service supply from government supply to social and market joint supply.As one of the contents of public service closely related to people’s health,medical service has a growing demand with the continuous development of social economy.Moreover,due to the improvement of living standards,people’s demand for medical services concludes not only the basic medical treatment and medicine,but also the demand for health,conditioning and regimen.In this context,as the main body of providing medical services,the equalization and accessibility of medical service institutions have been widely concerned by geographers.Based on the classification of 1083 medical service institutions in Jiangxia,this paper studies their spatial layout and influencing factors in view of the market principle,traffic principle and administrative principle of central place theory.Firstly,it analyzes the overall situation and spatial pattern of population,transportation and medical service institutions involved in the supply-demand process of medical services.Secondly,based on the central place theory,this paper selects the population factor,traffic factor and administrative division factor under the three principles to explore their impact on the overall and different types of medical service institutions in Jiangxia.Finally,the layout optimization strategy is proposed.The research shows that:(1)the distribution of medical service institutions in Jiangxia is spatially heterogeneous.The closer to the district center and street center,the denser of medical service institutions’ number and the more complete the system.The number of outbound institutions is gradually reduced,and the system is relatively lacking,and the urban-rural gap is relatively large big.(2)The spatial pattern of medical institutions in Jiangxia is highly correlated with the spatial pattern of population and transportation network.(3)Factors such as population,traffic,administrative division,land use types have impacts on the spatial pattern of medical service institutions in Jiangxia,and different factors have various degrees of influence on different types of institutions,and is also reflected in space.(4)Jiangxia has formed a "two systems,three levels" medical service central place system.The two systems are divided into basic medical services and non basic medical services;according to the scale of medical service institutions,they are divided into high,medium and low levels.(5)Jiangxia medical service institutions should be optimized from two aspects:improving the comprehensive planning and medical service supporting construction.
