Ethical Research On Children’s Medical Decision-making

Children,as a special group,represent the future of the country and the hope of mankind,which also appear the immaturity in thought and psychological unsound.Undoubtedly,children need special treatment on any issue.“Declaration on children”of the United Nations and “law on the protection of minors” of our country have claimed clear protection for children’s rights.During the process of medical treatment,how to protect the children’s legitimate right correctly and effectively,often face multiple tests such as ethics,morality,law and so on.For a long time,cultural differences between China and the West have led to different ethical and moral concepts,However,the related issues about decision power for children’s medical treatment have always been a hot topic and unsolved problem in the legal and ethical discussion between China and the West.From ethical perspective,This paper analyzes the different ethical and moral concept in China and the West,from the viewpoints of individuals,families and the doctor-patient relationship,and try to seize the contradiction and balance among the children patients,agents,and medical institutions layer upon layer,and then to carry outits ethical demonstration for decision power for children’s medical treatment.Combined with the relevant case,we analyzes the dilemma for decision power for children’s medical treatment under the different ethics it uations,.And in combination with the actual situation in China medical case,we puts forward the suggestion and opinions to protect children’s rights,and realize the children’s best interests of children.The first part is to analyze owner ship and agency of children’s decision rights in medical activities,and to demonstrate the difficulties of decision power for children’s medical treatment from the ethical point view.In the second part,this paper discusses the influence of decision power for children’s medical treatmentunderdifferent cultural environments and ethical systems in China and the West,and considers the decision power of children’s medical treatment from the perspectives of family relationship,doctor-patient relationship and children’s rights.The third part discusses the influence of different the ethical values on children’s medical decision from different perspectives,such as justice theory,utilitarianism theory,contract theory,humanistic care,feminism and other aspects.In the fourth part demon stracts that life is the fundamental purpose of maintaining children’s medical activities.Medical institutions should grantee children’s legitimate interests in children’s medical activities to protect children’s best interests and put forward feasible plans and opinions from the aspects of law,ethics system,and social securityIn a word,the ultimate purpose of this paper to discuss decision power for children’s medical treatment,is to protect children’s legitimate medical rights,straighten out the relationship between doctors and patients,and guarantee children’s healthy growth to the greatest extent.
