Mainstream Media’s Presentation Of Doctor-Patient Reports On New Media Platform

The doctor-patient relationship involves every subject in the society,and the issues,policies and contradictions between doctors and patients have always been the focus of the public and the media.With the decrease of doctors’ authority and the improvement of patients’ autonomy,the doctor-patient relationship has become more complex,and the media plays an important role in the reproduction and construction of the doctor-patient relationship.This paper focuses on the analysis of the mainstream media CCTV news on microblog,a new media platform.The sample focuses on the recent years of 2019 and 2020,covering topics,topic framework,source of information,reproduction perspective,reporting tendency,doctor-patient interaction mode,disease presentation,doctor image,patient image,inter subject behavior perspective,responsibility attribution and other purposes Content analysis and text analysis.This paper summarizes the characteristics of the overall doctor-patient reports and the reports of doctor-patient conflicts,the image of both doctors and patients,the relationship between doctors and patients,and the tendency of the strength of both doctors and patients.And further explore the motivation,value and problems behind the media presentation,and put forward some constructive ideas for the media doctor-patient reports.Through the analysis,it is found that CCTV news microblog generally constructs a harmonious doctor-patient relationship,and the media discourse tends to doctors,showing a situation of strong doctors and weak patients.On the whole,there are more neutral positive topics and typical news frames,less reflective investigation frames,and more doctor talk than patient talk;in the report of Doctor-patient Conflict,more attention should be paid to event response,more reflective topics,more personal attribution and social resolution.In terms of discourse,there are few sources of doctor-patient discourse,prominent government discourse,and multiple interpretations of media reports by the audience.In terms of the image of doctors and patients,the overall image of doctors is a positive hero and the image of patients with weak cooperation.A small number of doctors are weak and negative images,while half of patients are rebellious and seize power.The reports of doctor-patient conflicts show an obvious situation of weak doctors and strong patients.There are also "resistance" and empowerment of weak doctors and "Otherization" of strong patients.In the aspect of doctor-patient relationship,the doctor-patient perspective and empathy increase,and there are more collective perspectives to discipline the doctor group and individual perspectives to investigate the responsibility of individual doctors and patients,and individual perspectives to call on both doctors and patients to act as their own.The issue of disease knowledge is also more than the issue of value.The reason of CCTV news microblog reporting on doctor-patient issues can be summed up from the tenon and transformation of the relationship between history and modern doctor-patient,reshaping the media discourse,responding to the medical system,and conforming to the social culture.It also has the positive value of constructive attribute and enhancing the publicity of doctor-patient issues,but there are also hidden worries of full of positive reports,low voice of patients,and passive doctors and patients.Therefore,CCTV news microblog should explore the conflict value,balance the discourse between doctors and patients,and seek the subjectivity of both doctors and patients when building the overall harmonious doctor-patient relationship,so as to better carry out the doctor-patient report.
