Efficacy Evaluation Of Jiawei Erzhi Formula In The Treatment Of Toxic Diffuse Goiter With Deficiency Of Liver And Kidney Yin And Its Effect On TRAb And Serum IGF-1

Objective: In this study,the clinical observation of patients with Graves’ disease with deficiency of liver and kidney Yin were treated with Jiawei Erzhi Formula combined with Methimazole Tablet,and to observe its effect on serum TRAB and IGF-1 were conducted,to provide clinical scientific experimental basis and a safer and more effective treatment method for Graves’ disease patients treated with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: A total of 62 Graves’ disease patients with deficiency of liver and kidney were collected and sorted out,and divide these 62 patients into a control group and an observation group irregularly,with 31 patients in each group.The treatment plan given to patients in the control group is basic treatment and Methimazole;the treatment plan given to the observation group was to add Jiawei Erzhi formula on the basis of the treatment of the former group.A period of treatment lasts 4 weeks,and there are 3period in total.Compare some related indicators,such as the free thyroxine(FT4),free triiodothyronine(FT3),testing for thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),and the amount of methimazole tablets in each period of treatment between the two groups of patients,as well as thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb),serum IGF-1,body weight,heart rate,TCM syndrome score in the treatment of before and after,and occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups after treatment.Finally,the efficacy and safety of Jiawei Erzhi Formula were evaluated through data analysis and processing.Results:(1)Comparison of thyroid function: The FT3,FT4,and TSH of the two groups during the 1,2,3 periods of treatment were all recovered compared to when they were enrolled.FT4 and FT3 were lower than before enrollment(P<0.05),furthermore the level of TSH was higher than before enrollment(P<0.05).The FT3,FT4 and TSH levels of patients in the treatment group improved to normal levels faster than the other group.(2)Comparison of TRAb: After treatment,The TRAb of the two groups of patients was lower than when they were enrolled(P<0.05),but the reduction of serum TRAb level in the observation treatment group was more outstanding than that of the other group(P<0.01).(3)Comparison of the serum IGF-1: After treatment,When the IGF-1 levels of the two groups of patients were compared with when they were enrolled in the group,it was found that the level of IGF-1 in the body was reduced(P<0.05),but the IGF-1 level of the patients who used Jiawei Erzhi formula in the observation treatment group was lower than that of the other group(P<0.01).(4)Comparison of the dosages of MMI in each course of treatment: After treatment,the patients in the treatment group who used Jiawei Erzhi Formula had more little doses of methimazole than those in the control group who did not take Jiawei Erzhi Formula in the same course of treatment,and the comparison between them was statistically meaningful(P<0.01).(5)Comparison of the heart rate and body weight of patients after treatment: After 12 weeks of treatment,the heart rate of the two groups of patients was lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the group taking Jiawei Erzhi Formula was lower than the other group not taking it(P<0.05),Their comparison is statistically significant;after 12 weeks of treatment,although the weight of patients in both groups has increased,the comparison between the two groups was found to be meaningless in after treatment(P>0.05).(6)Comparison of TCM syndrome scores and clinical efficacy: After 12 weeks of treatment,the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups of patients were lower than before(P<0.01),and the reduction in the treatment group was more outstanding(P<0.01);no Jiawei Erzhi Formula was taken The total effective rate of the patients in the control group of the prescription was 90%,but the total effective rate of the patients in the treatment group taking Jiawei Erzhi Formula was 100%,and the apparent effective rate of the treatment group(61.3%)was outstanding higher than that of the other group(16.7%),(P<0.05).(7)Safety analysis: During the treatment,4 patients in the group that did not use Jiawei Erzhi Formula had mild liver damage and 3 patients had mild leukopenia.Among the patients treated with Jiawei Erzhi Formula combined with MMI,1 patient had mild liver damage,and 1 patient The patient had mild leukopenia;except for 1 patient in the control group who withdrew from observation due to moderate liver function impairment,the rest of the patients improved after symptomatic treatment.In summary,the treatment group is safer.Conclusion: Jiawei Erzhi Formula combined with MMI has a significant effect on the treatment of patients with liver and kidney yin deficiency type Graves disease.Compared with the control group,it can significantly improve thyroid function,and the time is shorter,and it can reduce serum TRAb and IGF-Level 1,compared with the control group who did not take Jiawei Erzhi Formula,it can significantly reduce the dosage of MMI,and the number of adverse reactions in the treatment group during the entire clinical observation period is less than that in the control group,indicating that the clinical application of Jiawei Erzhi Formula is safe and effective.
