Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of electroacupuncture on occipital neuralgia and to provide reference for clinical treatment of this disease. Methods:According to the criteria,93 patients with occipital neuralgia were included and randomly divided into group A(traditional meridian acupoint selection combined with hand acupuncture group),group B(anatomical acupoint selection combined with hand acupuncture group)and group C(anatomical acupoint selection combined with electroacupuncture group),with 31 patients in each group. On the basis of conventional western medicine treatment with ibuprofen, group A selected BL10,DU19,GB20,Ashi,SI3 and BL62 acupoints. After each acupoint was punctured, manipulation was performed until a sense of needle was felt. The needle was retained for 30 min,and then the needle was released after manipulation.Group B took the affected side of BL9,BL10,GB20 and EX-HN13,EX-B2 on both sides, the technique was the same as that of group A.The acupoint selection of group C was the same as that of group B.After the acupuncture was inserted into the acupoints,then,KWD-808 I electroacupuncture treatment instrument was connected to BL9 and BL10,GB20 and EX-HN13,The two EX-B2 were connected horizontally.Density wave was selected with frequencies of 2Hz and 100 Hz alternately, and the patient could tolerate the intensity. The treatment went on for 30 min.All the three groups were treated once a day,6time as a course of treatment, with a rest day.All patients were treated with two courses of treatment continuously.Patients were assessed by VAS score,HAMA score and HIT-6 score before and after treatment, and the statistical data were imported into SPSS 25.0 for statistics and analysis.Results:1.Before the start of treatment, all baselines were flat in the three groups. After the treatment, the VAS score,HAMA score and HIT-6 score of the three groups all declined significantly with statistical significance, indicating that the three therapies had definite efficacy in the treatment of occipital neuralgia.Further pairwise comparison of the score after treatment showed that there was no statistical significance in the score of group A and B,while the three score of group C decreased significantly more than that of group A and B,both of which were statistically significant. The results stated that anatomical acupoint selection combined with electroacupuncture had the best effect in alleviating pain, reducing anxiety and improving patients’ life quality.2.After treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients was analyzed and compared. The total effective rate of group A was 82.14%,group B was 82.76%,and group C was 93.10%.Statistical analysis showed that the efficacy of group A and B was similar(p>0.05),and that of group C was higher than that of group A and B(both p<0.01).Conclusion:1.Traditional meridian acupoint selection combined with hand acupuncture, anatomical acupoint selection combined with hand acupuncture and anatomical acupoint selection combined with electroacupuncture are all effective in the treatment of occipital neuralgia, which can reduce the pain index, anxiety score and improve the quality of life of patients.2.Anatomical acupoint selection combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of occipital neuralgia has better efficacy than traditional and anatomical acupoint selection combined with hand acupuncture, and the efficacy of traditional and anatomical acupoint selection combined with hand acupuncture is equivalent.
