Clinical Observation Of Electronic Needle Twister In The Treatment Of Post-Stroke Depression

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of electronic needle twister in the treatment of post-stroke depression.Method: In this study,60 patients with post-stroke depression who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 30 cases each.Both groups used Baihui and Ningshen points under the premise of basic treatment,and the control group used simple acupuncture treatment,the treatment group was treated with an electronic needle twister instrument on the basis of the control group.We selected 7-day as one course of treatment,while totally there existed 4 courses in our research.In addition,we allowed patients to rest for1 day among the period of treatments.Compared and analyzed the changes in the scores of the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-17)and the scores of each factor(including anxiety somatization,cognitive impairment,blockade,sleep disorders,and weight loss)as well as Barthel Index Rating Scale(BI)in the two groups before and after the treatment,also,we compared the clinical efficacy of the two groups in the end.Result:1.There was no statistically significant difference in gender,age,course of disease,primary disease,hemiplegic side,and NIHSS score between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).2.After the treatment,the five factor scores as well as the total scores of HAMD-17 were compared with these before the treatment within the two groups,results showed that in the HAMD-17 and BI the differences were extremely statistically significant(P < 0.01);And in the treatment group the differences of anxiety somatization,cognitive impairment,blockade,and sleep disorders were extremely statistically significant(P<0.01),and the scores of weight loss factor were significantly different(P<0.05).In the control group the differences of anxiety somatization,cognitive impairment,and blockade were extremely statistically significant(P<0.01),and the scores of weight loss and sleep disorders were significantly significant(P<0.05).In HAMD-17,the intra-group comparison demonstrated that the differences in factors of anxiety somatization,cognitive impairment,blockade,and sleep disorders were statistically significant(P<0.01),however,the scores of weight loss factor were not significantly different(P>0.05).Besides,the intra-group and the within comparison of BI scores illustrated that the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).3.Comparing the total effective rate after the treatment of the two groups of patients,it was found that the total effective rate of the electronic needle twister instrument group was 87%,and the total effective rate of the acupuncture group was 77%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion : 1.Acupuncture combined with electronic needle twister apparatus and simple acupuncture have significant effects in the treatment of post-stroke depression,and have a benign promotion effect on the mood changes,disease recovery and quality of life improvement of post-stroke patients.2.In the improvement of the various factors of HAMD-17 in terms of anxiety somatization,cognitive impairment,blockade,and sleep disorders,the therapeutic effect of the electronic needle twister instrument is more significant than that of pure acupuncture.Among them,the frequency,time and intensity of the electronic needle twister can be controlled quantitatively to achieve a stable and continuous ideal state,so that the operation site can be effectively stimulated to achieve a therapeutic effect.
