Clinical Observation Of Jianpi Tiaozhong Prescription On Treating Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation Of Spleen Deficiency

Objective: This study was designed to observe the clinical effect of Jianpi Tiaozhong prescription combined with propafenone,which were used to cure paroxysmal atrial fibrillation of spleen deficiency,then provided a new method of treating paroxysmal atrial fibrillation with traditional Chinese medicine.Method: There was a total of 60 patients who visited the Liu Zhen Studio in Shijiazhuang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2019 to December 2020.They all met the inclusion criteria.After signing an informed consent,they were randomly assigned into two groups: treatment group and control group with 30 cases.Patients in control group took Propafenone alone,others in treatment group took Jianpi Tiaozhong prescription combined with propafenone.The courses of two groups were 4 weeks,and the study was observed on two courses.Before and after treatment,Holter,condition of AF attack,AFEQT and scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptom of two groups were recorded.SPSS 22.0 processed the data.In this study one case fell off during the observation,it was in treatment group,the drop rate was 1.7%≤10%,finally 59 cases finished the observation.The treatment group had 29 cases and the control group had 30 cases.Result:(1)After treatment all indicators of Holter dropped in two groups without total time(P<0.01).Comparison with control group,the treatment group had more advantage in all indicators of Holter expect total time after treatment(P<0.05).(2)The frequency attack of AF per month and duration of each attack of AF all declined in two groups after treatment(P<0.01).After treatment,the frequency attack per month,duration of each attack and effective rate of AF in treatment group had more improvement than those in control group(P<0.05).(3)After treatment all dimension scores of AFEQT in two groups had remarkably enhance(P<0.01).After 4 weeks,there was no change in dimension scores of AFEQT between two groups(P>0.05).All dimension scores of AFEQT in treatment group had more improvement than those in control groups after 8 weeks(P<0.01).(4)In the treatment group,every monomial score and total score of TCM symptoms reduced after treatment(P<0.01).After treatment every monomial score and total score of TCM symptoms reduced in the control group other than poor appetite,abdominal distension,heavy body and loose stool or constipation after treatment(P<0.01).In the treatment group symptoms of abdominal distension and loose stool or constipation had greater improvement than that in control group after 4 weeks(P<0.05),and the total score and effective rate had no obvious change between two groups(P>0.05).After 8 weeks,total score,effective rate and symptoms of poor appetite,shortness of breath,abdominal distension,loose stool or constipation in treatment group were remarkably better than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Jianpi Tiaozhong prescription combined with propafenone can improve symptoms of patients who suffer from paroxysmal atrial fibrillation of spleen deficiency,reduce the attack frequency and duration of AF,slow the ventricular rate and improve living quality.It is safe in clinic.It is worthy of further study and application.
