The Effect Of Personalized Negative Pressure Suction Cup On Infantile Pectus Excavatum

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of individualized negative pressure sucker on funnel chest of infants under 3 years old.Method: Retrospective analysis of 63 children diagnosed as funnel chest and treated with personal customized negative pressure sucker,using 3D scanner to obtain funnel body surface data and make personalized sucker,According to the method of use,the uesr need to take outpatient review to obtain the same 3D data after the using of 3 to 6months and the following 1 year,to evaluate the clinical effect of individualized negative pressure sucker in children under 3 years old.Results:A total of 63 children(44 boys,19 girls),A statistical analysis of the therapeutic effect between male and female children showed no statistical significance(P=0.158);The transverse diameter and depth of the funnel on children under 3 years old were statistically significant(P<0.001).The vertical diameter of the chest has statistical significance both before and after the use(P=0.101);The result shows that there are 3children present excellent treatment effect,24 of them shows good treatment effect,33 general treatment effect,and 3 poor treatment effect.The excellent and good ratio reached 42.84%.Most of the children’s families were satisfied with the treatment,and there were no permanent sequelae in the adverse reactions.Linear regression showed that there was no significant difference in the ratio of service time to depth of funnel.(R2=0.002,P=0.892)Conclusion:Our preliminary experience shows that personalized negative pressure sucker has a good therapeutic effect on funnel chest of children under 3 years old.It can achieve early detection and early treatment,make up for the lack of the treatment for children with funnel chest under 3 years old,and create the possibility of alternative surgical treatment.However,more experience and research needed to be done to prove the superiority of personalized negative pressure sucker in 3D printing design and optimal the use time and the use indication.
