Objective: The postoperative TSH level of patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma was retrospectively analyzed to explore the influence of different TSH levels on recurrence. Methods:Liaoyang city central hospital general surgery were retrospectively analyzed from 2014 to 2016 in patients undergoing thyroid papillary carcinoma radical surgery(n= 486)were included in this study, all patients were performed after unilateral gland leaf total removal and isthmic portion excision plus lymph node in central region cleaning or total resection of thyroid + lymph node in central region, depending on the advantage of TSH throughout the follow-up period of 5 years, divided the patients into three groups(group A < 0.5 ~ 2.0,0.5,group B group C > 2.0 m IU/L),recurrence of known risk factors such as gender, age, tumor size and lymph node metastasis,The survival rate of recurrence was compared between the groups. Results:A total of 486 patients were enrolled in the study, with a male-to-female ratio of1:3.7.During the 5-year follow-up,there were 166(34.1%)patients in group A,with an average age of 49.41±10.74 years,sex(male/female)ratio of 37/129,average tumor size of 1.10±1.9cm,lymph node metastasis rate(no/no)of 128/38,and 4 patients with recurrence.Group B included 203(29.6%)patients,with an average age of 47.71±11.48 years, sex ratio(male/female)of 45/158,average tumor size of 1.19±2.6cm,lymph node metastasis ratio of 162/41,and 3 cases of recurrence.Group C included 117(36.3%)patients,with an average age of 49.67±10.58 years, sex ratio(male/female)of 21/96,average tumor size of 1.12 ±2.2cm,lymph node metastasis ratio of 98/19,and 3recurrence.The known risk factors for recurrence, such as gender, age, tumor size and lymph node metastasis, were analyzed by Log Rank test. The results showed that age P=0.123,gender P=0.153,tumor size P=0.08,lymph node metastasis P=0.184.KaplanMeier curve was drawn to compare the recurrence survival rate of the three groups, and P=0.755 was obtained.P value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Conclusions:Different serum TSH levels have no effect on postoperative recurrence of low-risk papillary thyroid carcinoma at 5 years, and TSH inhibition should be treated individually.
