| Objective:To form the Chinese version of the hand hygiene questionnaire and test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the hand hygiene questionnaire. To understand the current situation of hand hygiene knowledge, belief and practice of undergraduate nursing students, and to clarify the factors affecting the practice level of hand hygiene. Methods:The use and Chinese copyright of hand hygiene questionnaire were obtained by contacting the developer of hand hygiene questionnaire via email. The English version of hand hygiene questionnaire was interculturally adjusted into the Chinese version using Beaton’s intercultural adaptation model.A questionnaire survey was conducted among the nursing students who met the inclusion criteria in 5 nursing colleges in Liaoning Province. The items were analyzed and screened by the method of item distribution, coefficient of variation and factor analysis.Cronbach’sαcoefficient, content validity index(I-CVI,S-CVI/Ave)and exploratory factor analysis were used to test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of hand hygiene questionnaire. The general data questionnaire formed by literature review and the Chinese version of hand hygiene questionnaire were used to investigate the knowledge, belief and practice status of hand hygiene of the undergraduate practice nursing students, and the influencing factors of practice status of hand hygiene of the undergraduate practice nursing students were analyzed by independent sample t-test、analysis of variance and Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression method.Results:(1)After cross-cultural adjustment, the Chinese hand hygiene questionnaire consisted of 3 parts and 43 items. Both I-CVI and S-CVI/AVE of the questionnaire were1.0,indicating good content validity.(2)The Cronbach’s coefficient of the total scale was0.894,and the reliability coefficient of the Cronbach’s coefficient of each subscale of the questionnaire was 0.678~0.978.By exploratory factor analysis, one common factor was extracted from the hand hygiene practice list of the subscale, and the cumulative variance interpretation rate was 80.62%.By exploratory factor analysis, two common factors were extracted from the hand hygiene belief scale of the subscale, and the cumulative variance interpretation rate was 71.64%.(3)The total score of hand hygiene knowledge of undergraduate nursing students is 6.4±1.9,among which 85.2%students have a correct rate≥50%.The total score of hand hygiene practice list is 65.29±10.10.and the descriptive analysis of pass rate shows that the hand hygiene compliance is 80.87%;The total score of hand hygiene belief scale was 68.82±8.03.(4)The independent sample t test, analysis of variance and Pearson correlation analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in hand hygiene practice level, hand hygiene knowledge, hand hygiene belief, teaching guidance, classroom teaching and nursing employment intention of nursing students.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the three variables of hand hygiene knowledge, hand hygiene belief and nursing employment intention had statistical significance on the hand hygiene practice level(R~2=0.525,adjusted R~2=0.520,F=7.649,P<0.001),and the three influencing factors could explain 52.5%of the variation in the hand hygiene practice level of the nursing students.Conclusion:(1)The cross-cultural adapted Chinese version of hand hygiene questionnaire was applied to the nursing students in Liaoning Province, and it was found that the questionnaire had good reliability and validity, which confirmed that the questionnaire could be used to evaluate the knowledge, belief and practice level of hand hygiene of the nursing students in Liaoning Province.(2)The hand hygiene knowledge and practice level of undergraduate nursing students in Liaoning Province is relatively general, with certain room for improvement, and their belief level is above average.(3)Nursing employment intention, hand hygiene knowledge and hand hygiene belief level are the influencing factors of the hand hygiene practice level of the undergraduate nursing interns. |
