| Objective:By controlling the confounding factors affecting children’s health, including age, gender, urban and rural areas, whether there is medical insurance, whether the mother is at home, family size, etc.,this study explored the impact of family income, whether there is feces around the house, and whether drinking water is filtered.18-year-old children self-evaluate the impact of their health and illness, thereby providing theoretical support for the formulation of policies to improve children’s health. Methods:The study used China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS)data, selected a total of1454 children aged 6 to 18 in 2015 as the research subjects, and used STATA12 software to organize and analyze the data. This article uses two indicators,self-rated health and whether they have been sick in the past four weeks,to reflect the subjective and objective aspects of children’s health;the household income indicator is measured by the logarithm of the family’s per capita income;the research indicators selected for family health include the room Whether there is feces around(referred to as the room environment in the text)and whether the drinking water is filtered;control confounding factors that may affect children’s health, including age, gender, urban and rural areas, whether there is medical insurance, whether the mother is at home, family size, and use Logistic regression evaluates the impact of family income and family hygiene on children’s health. At the same time, the sample is divided into two groups of urban residents and rural residents, and Logistic regression is performed on them respectively to test the robustness of the regression results.Results:(1)Among the 1454 children,359(24.69%)rated their health as bad.Men rated their health as poor(25.78%)higher than women(23.47%).Children aged 14 to 18 rated their health as poor. The proportion of people who are unhealthy is the highest(28.94%),and children aged6 to 9 are the lowest(21.04%).The proportion of rural population who self-assess their health as bad(26.69%)is higher than that of urban population(20.77%);they have been sick in the past four weeks Of 99 people(6.81%),the proportion of male patients(7.16%)is higher than the proportion of female patients(6.41%),and the proportion of patients aged 6 to 9 is the highest(7.12%),The proportion of patients aged 14 to 18 was the lowest(6.43%),and the proportion of patients in the rural population(4.78%)was lower than the proportion of patients in the city(10.79%).(2)There is no feces around the family room, few, some, many self-evaluated health is not good accounted for 23.07%,30.43%,35.71%,80.00%,and the proportions of sickness in the past four weeks were 7.14%,4.97%,5.71%,0.00%.The proportion of unfiltered drinking water whose self-rated health is bad is 25.66%,and the proportion of the self-rated health of drinking water filtered is 18.32%;the proportion of unfiltered drinking water and the proportion of drinking water are sick They are 6.57%and 8.38%.(3)After controlling for confounding factors such as age, gender, urban and rural areas, medical insurance, whether the mother is at home, and family size, the regression results incorporating the family income variable show that family income is positively correlated with children’s self-rated health and is a protective factor for children’s illness,But there is no age gradient effect on the impact of family income on children’s self-assessed health and on children’s disease. After controlling for the above confounding variables, the regression results incorporating family hygiene variables show that family room environment and drinking water filtration have a positive effect on children’s self-evaluation health, but have no significant impact on children’s illness.Family room environment has a positive effect on children’s self-evaluation.There is an age gradient effect in health, that is,the impact of the room environment on health will increase with the age of children, but the impact of drinking water filtration on health does not exist;the regression results that also include household income and household hygiene variables show,Family income, family room environment and drinking water filtration have a positive effect on children’s self-evaluation of health~2.Conclusion:The above analysis shows that family income, family room environment and drinking water filtration all have an impact on children’s health. Therefore,we should be aware of the importance of safe drinking water and clean sanitary conditions, and formulate measures to effectively improve sanitation,at the same time strengthen publicity and education, and promote good sanitary habits. In addition,a coordinated strategy should be established, and multiple measures should be taken to create an environment for universal development for children and reduce inequality caused by income disparity. |
