ObjectiveTo investigate the effectiveness and safety of the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.MethodsA retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 30 obese patients who underwent surgical treatment after strict screening in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University(endoscopic ward)from January 2018 to August 2020.All the operations were performed through laparoscopic style.ERAS group and traditional group were divided according to whether ERAS concept was used during the perioperative period, with 15 cases in each group.ERAS group used optimized perioperative management of ERAS,and traditional group used traditional perioperative methods.ResultsThere was no significant difference in age, gender,BMI,comorbidities(hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea syndrome, etc.)between ERAS group and traditional group(P>0.05).Postoperative pain score, postoperative first ventilation time, postoperative first time out of bed, postoperative length of hospital stay and other aspects were better in ERAS group than traditional group(P<0.05).The total frequency of postoperative complications in ERAS group was reduced by half compared with the traditional group, and the cost after hospitalization reimbursement was also less than that in the traditional group(P<0.05).ConclusionThe concept of enhanced recovery after surgery applied in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is safe and effective.Combined with various analgesic modes, the analgesic effect is good, the stress response is reduced, and it is beneficial for patients to drink, eat and get out of bed early, promote postoperative recovery without increasing postoperative complications, shorten hospital stay and reduce hospitalization costs. Therefore,ERAS concept deserves further promotion and application in the whole process of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative treatment in clinical practice.
