Purpose To explore the relationship between vitamin K2 level and bone metabolism related indicators in children with short stature,so as to clarify the characteristics of bone metabolism in children with short stature and provide a theoretical basis for prevention and treatment of abnormal bone metabolism.Method A total of 102 children with short stature admitted to our hospital from 2019 to2020 were collected, and 37 children with normal height of the same age and gender in the same region were selected as the control group during routine physical examination.Bone metabolism indexes such as ALP,Ca and P et al in serum was detected by chemiluminescence with fully automated biochemical analyzer.Vitamin K2 in serum was detected by HPLC-MS/MS.Ultrasonic bone mineral density(BMD)of calcaneus was measured by ultrasonic bone mineral density instrument CM-200.SPSS 20.0software was used for statistical analysis to compare the levels of vitamin K2 and other bone metabolism indexes between short stature children and normal children, and analyze the relationship between serum vitamin K2 and bone metabolism indexes and bone mineral density.Result:A total of 139 subjects were included in this study, and the overall vitamin K2deficiency rate was 60.4%(84/139).Compared with the control group, there was no statistical difference in the vitamin K2 level of children with short stature disorder(t=0.259,P=0.796).There was no statistical difference in the vitamin K2(ng/ml)level of children with different types of short stature disorder(?~2=1.736,P=0.420).There were no significant differences in bone metabolism and bone mineral density between the children with short stature and the control group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in bone metabolism and bone mineral density between the GHD group,p GHD group and ISS group in the children with short stature(P>0.05).The correlation analysis showed that serum vitamin K2 was negatively correlated with PTH(r=-0.202,P=0.048).Ca,P,ALP,25(OH)D,N-MID,PINP,β-CTX,bone mineral density and bone age was not significantly correlated with vitamin K2(P>0.05).Conclusion:Vitamin K2 deficiency is common in children with different types of short stature and normal children, and vitamin K2 may play a role in bone health of children with short stature.
