Objective To analyze the independent prognostic factors of glioblastoma patients, and to provide prognostic assessment and treatment plan for glioblastoma patientsMethods The clinical data of 55 patients with glioblastoma from the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January2016 to January 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.SPSS 26.0 software was used for statistical analysis,Log-rank method was used for univariate analysis of survival-related factors, and significant indicators were obtained from univariate analysis, and then Cox proportional hazards model was used for multivariate analysis, where P<0.05 is considered statistically significant difference. To evaluate the correlation and influence of various risk factors with the prognosis of patients with glioblastoma.Result Univariate analysis Log-rank method showed that age<40 years old, total tumor resection, tumor volume<50cm~3,preoperative KPS score≥70,postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy of GBM patients had significantly better overall survival than age≥40 The overall survival rate of GBM patients with age, subtotal tumor resection, tumor volume≥50cm~3,preoperative KPS score<70,and no postoperative radiotherapy or chemotherapy or radiotherapy/chemotherapy alone,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant. However, gender, peritumoral edema, preoperative seizures, and the number of tumor lobes involved were not associated with the overall survival rate of GBM patients,P>0.05,and the difference was not statistically significant.Multivariate analysis included age, surgical resection, tumor volume, preoperative KPS score, postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy into the Cox proportional hazards model, and obtained age(OR=1.849,P<0.05,95%CI:1.006-3.398),surgical resection range(OR=3.529,P<0.05,95%CI:1.742-7.149),tumor volume(OR=2.271,P<0.05,95%CI:1.267-4.069),preoperative KPS score(OR=1.897,P<0.05,95%CI:1.055-3.411),postoperative chemoradiotherapy(OR=3.497,P<0.05,95%CI:1.364-8.969)were independent risk factors related to the prognosis of GBM patients. Conclusions Patients with glioblastoma who were younger(less than 40 years old),had higher preoperative KPS score and smaller tumor volume underwent maximum tumor resection on the basis of preserving neurological function, and postoperative combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy could significantly prolong the survival of glioblastoma patients.
