With the accelerated speed of China’s urban modernization and the gradual implementation of urban master plan,real estate has become an emerging economic pillar of Chinese society,profoundly affecting urban society,political,economic and cultural activities and people’s lives.In the economic boom of reform and opening up,China’s huge commercial market and increasingly inclusive social environment have attracted more and more foreign enterprises and foreign investors to come to China for career development and settlement.As investment promotion materials translation work is increasing during the cooperation,how to determine the terminology,special sentence patterns and language style properly in order to not only retain the original information,innovation and features,but also win acceptance and agreement of audience has become a problem worth exploring.The author has worked as an intern translator for Zhengzhou AnyongReal Estate Company,and translated a large number of investment promotion materials for the "J18 project" for which created by Central China Real Estate Company.In the report,the author selected typical translation cases to analyze and elaborate the specific translation process of the real estate investment promotion texts.Guided by the communicative translation theory proposed by Newmark,the report analyzes the problems that the translator encountered during the translating process and the methods to deal with the translation difficulties such as terms,proper nouns,lexical conversion,negative sentences,active sentences and paratonic sentences with specific examples from the lexical,syntactic and textual perspectives,summarizes the corresponding translation techniques.Through this report,the author hopes to provide a new research perspective and methods for real estate promotional translation and enrich the theoretical construction of real estate promotional translation.
