A Study On 2017 Annual New Words In Language Situation In China From The Perspective Of Memetics

New words as the new things and phenomena or concept reflected in language since the beginning of the new period,is also a new blood in Chinese vocabulary system.The annual new words released by the Ministry of Education and State Language Work Committee reflect the new things and phenomena and concepts,and has recorded the lives of social language.The Paper took 242 new words in 2017 from Language Situation in China(2018)as the research object,and explains them scientifically and reasonably in an objective way,and combines the traditional linguistic perspective with the new meme theory perspective to give a comprehensive explanation and a detailed classification of new words.The paper is divided into five parts.The introduction part mainly introduces the research situation of annual new words and the necessity of studying annual new words from the perspective of memetics from four aspects: the source of topic selection,the significance and value of topic selection,the research status and research methods.The first chapter is an introduction to meme theory,which expounds the theoretical background of meme and memetics,mainly including the origin and meaning of meme,the research status of meme theory,the process and types of meme replication and transmission,as well as strong meme and weak meme.The second chapter is the overview part of 2017 new words,which mainly classifies and analyzes the new words of the year from four aspects: syllabic features,structural ways,semantic features and word-making methods.The third chapter is the new words in 2017 from the perspective of memetics.From the perspective of memetics,the new words in 2017 are specifically analyzed,including the types of language memes of new words,the way of transmission of language memes of new words and the conditions for the formation oflanguage memes of new words and the analysis of the structure of specific new words.The conclusion part summarizes the research results and innovations of the paper,and points out the deficiencies of the paper.In these aspects,the author still needs to modify and improve,and further thinks about the meme transmission mechanism of new words in 2017 from a new perspective.
