With the development of Internet and the education,to acquire a second language is becoming popular.As one of the largest country of education,China has fully focused on the fluency and professional of English as a second language.It also works in colleges which has introduced dual language teaching method.Even some universities offer majors that taught in English in order to increase their influence and output Chinese culture and power.This translation report focused on the second chapter of Writing Analytically under Newmark's text typology and communicative translation and semantic translation theory.The feature of the source text is full of specialized nouns,and part of them don't have equivalence in Chinese which brings difficulties to the translation.According to Newmark's text typology,the source text is classified as informative text.This translation report analyzed the process from word and sentence perspective under the guidance of communicative translation and semantic translation.From words perspective,the analysis combined with translation methods,such as addition,conversion and omission.From sentence perspective,the analysis started with the translation of passive sentence and complex sentence.This translation report consists of four chapters;first chapter introduced the background,features of the text and the objective of this report;second chapter illustrate the preparation before translation and translation theory;third chapter,as the core of this report,discussed the translation practice from perspectives of word and sentence;chapter four is conclusion. |
