Truth and objectivity are the life of the documentary.However,the process of producing documentary can not be separated from the participation of people,inevitably by the subjective consciousness of the creators.Does not objective mean untrue? Although documentary in the subject matter selection,content selection,lens application,editing processing and other aspects are mixed with the subjective choice of creators,but it shoot from the real person which in real scene.Therefore,through the content and presentation of a documentary,we can see the creator’s own consciousness and expression of meaning.Combined with the documentary film "Zodiac pottery sculpture" shooting practice,through the shooting of Huaning folk handmade and its participants,show that farmers gradually changed into craftsmen.In the process of identity transformation,they gained happiness and security,so as to explore the main consciousness of farmers on the road of industrial poverty alleviation,and further explain the relationship between documentary objectivity and documentary creators’ subjective choice.
