Research On Painting Art Of Paul Cezanne

As a watershed between traditional art and modern art,Paul Cezanne was regraded as the “father of modernism”,whose art concepts have great influence on Europe,even the global art history.Cezanne focuses on the subject operation of picture,who realized bold innovation in style,color,structures,etc.He expresses personal feelings and thoughts in his works.By combining two worlds together,the subjective one and the objective one,Cezanne opened a new path for successive artists.As a result,many schools of modernism are affected either in a direct way,or an indirect way.Considering the fact that modern art is the main practical content of author’s painting,a research on Cezanne’s art concepts is of great significance.Early Cezanne was a dedicated artist,and his creative motivation comes from the strong demand for pure original.Through the clumsy lines and heavy paint piled up by the scraper,he showed the literariness of the extremely strong emotions.In the overlap to prepare into his forties,Cezanne had developed his own unique style of painting.His way of observation and thinking had matured,began to focus on the logical analysis of object images,picture composition is an important feature of the works in this period.However,in his later years,Cezanne’s works have been beyond the physical image.He is more committed to the construction of a harmonious aesthetic form,and had risen to a state of spontaneity.In his later years,the Saint Victor Mountain series and the Bath Woman series were two important topics for Cezanne,one is the complete dissolution of the painting structure with the vast brush strokes,and the other is the combination of man and tree to achieve the ultimate achievement of structure.The author will also focus on theanalysis of these two topics in the following.The author combines Cezanne’s life circumstance and art context first,and then discusses his art concepts.The article is divided into three sections: The first section introduces Cezanne’s growth circumstance,family member,relation with Camille Pissarro during impressionism period and the effect on modernism.The most precious art heritage of Cezanne is owing to his works,more than three thousand,which provides countless theoretical knowledge and views for the rising of modernism years later.So the second section gives an analysis on his representative works in three periods throughout his career.The third one discusses the author’s change in works during postgraduate study and the guidance of Cezanne in author’s creation.
