This paper makes a study on the influence of emotion factors on the form of painters’ style for landscape painting works, and takes the landscape paintings of two painting schools of art at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty with opposing thoughts such as "Four Monks" and "Four Kings" as examples. On the one hand, the "Four Monks" pays more attention to human feelings and emotions on the drawing thought, especially people’s real feelings on the landscape. On the other hand, the "four Kings" is the "model or pattern copied ancient style",which pays attention to the history source, imitating the ancients.Based on the painting ideas advocated by the "Four Monks" and "Four Kings" as the main line, this paper explores the formation of the painting style in the creation of landscape painting from the emotional factor. This research is mainly carried out in four parts. The first part shows the concept of emotion and the factors that influence the formation of emotion. In view of the concept of emotion,it makes a study on the definition according to emotion psychology course emotion through the dictionary. In fact,as a kind of mental state for a person,in the midst of the painter’s creation, different emotional states show in the externalization of performance through painting the art form. There are internal factor and external factor in the emotional factors.Internal factor in the character means that every human emotion can produce different, and each has a different personality characteristics.Hence there are some personality traits in the same people at the same time.so that as for a painter, when he/she dates back to his/her works, the personality affects the emotional experience but this emotion is the soul of the works.Psychological mechanism is also an important factor affecting individual emotions.Individual personality is not easy to change, but the psychological mechanism adopted in the face of anything in life is different, because different psychological mechanisms in different periods and different situations will cause emotional changes.External factors mainly include the influence of naturalenvironment and social environment.Every painter lives in our society. The living environment determines the living environment of the painter to some extent. At the same time, the social environment also has a great impact on the painter’s emotions. The social environment includes political, economic, cultural and other aspects, which are closely related to each other in life. Therefore, the quality of the social environment will make the painter have different emotional experiences. In the second part, the author mainly combs the lives of the eight artists including "Four Monks" and "Four Kings" and analyzes their family background, mentoring relationship, life experience, social environment and other factors to understand the emotional experience of the eight artists in their artistic lives. The third part is the key chapter of this paper. It shows the influence of the different emotional factors of "Four Monks" and "Four Kings" on the performance for their landscape painting images. This paper firstly reviews the emotional state of the Four Monks.Under a great grief with country ruined and home lost, when making landscape paintings,Zhu Da focuses more on the fragment landscape according to type composition;Shi Tao focuses more on the impact of the performance on colour;Kun Can shows vigorous and dignified Chinese traditional painting technique;Jian Jiang performs lonely and cold artistic conception. In the light of the joy and pleasure placed in the landscape,Zhu Da shows a simple and concise style;Shi Tao reveals a sketching mind in search of inspiration from numerous mountains.Kun Can pays more attention to poetic illusion in his paintings;Jian Jiang make an emphasis on the geometric object form.In view of the indifference to emotion brought by Zen Buddhism,Zhu Da shows an empty and fictitious image of the artistic conception in the landscape painting;Shi Tao pay attention to the flexibility of the organizational picture;Kun Can shows an affection to the land of idyllic beauty;Jian Jiang expresses a picture with peaceful and tranquil image with the artistic conception. The influence of emotion on the landscape paintings by the "Four Monks" is mainly reflected in their artistic thoughts of "innovation" which focuses on self-expression.In the summary for the emotion of "Four Kings",this paper mainly discusses the suitability of the mainstream culture and the advocacy for the model or pattern copied ancient style. Those "Four Kings" show the emotional experience on the "copying ancient style " in the artistic career. However,in the emotional suitability of mainstream culture,Wang Shimin stylized the ancients with symbolization, and on the basis of this he tried to remake the integration of language and framework,in orderto form its own unique ink style in landscape painting works;Wang Jian epitomized the thought to one school.Wang Hui makes good performance for ancient paintings in a detailed copy;Wang Yuanqi conducts a research on the composition of the composition of dragon vein.In view of the advocacy for the model or pattern copied ancient style,Wang Shimin shows the study and application of classical diagrams in ancient paintings;Wang Jian shows a new breakthrough in the attempt of traditional brushwork;Wang Hui shows the fusion of the north and south to form his own unique painting style;Wang Yuanqi shows the flexible use of traditional brushwork techniques.Given that two emotional states of "Four Kings",such as the suitability of the mainstream culture and the advocacy for the model or pattern copied ancient style,it presents the search for their own breakthrough in an artistic pursuit for "copying ancient style ".In the fourth part, the author makes a discussion on a kind of innovation and the spirit with the conservative base under the two kinds of art pursuits for "Four Monks" and "Four Kings" in the Qing Dynasty. The "Four Monks" enjoys more scenery in landscape painting works, who tried to imitate the ancients. In fact, their emotional experience of life had a great influence which makes them out of the constraints of the ancient and break through themselves. In addition, they pay more attention to the development of the personal artistic personality. In a comparison,"Four Kings" enjoys more sorting works of the ancients in the landscape works,so that ancient style is seen everywhere in their works, which passes on the painting thought of "Theory of North and South Painting Schools" written by Dong Qichang in the late Ming dynasty. Each have their own thinking and perception in the "copying ancient style".Individual emotion will be produced by a variety of factors under the joint action. In the artistic painting, the appeal of the picture lies in the expression of emotion, which is the spiritual support of painters. |
