Research On The Theory Of Empathy Design

The increasing complexity of the design scope and the limited knowledge of the design research team make it increasingly difficult to identify and define user requirements.Especially in the design for minority groups,the huge physical and psychological differences often lead to misunderstandings between the designer team and the stakeholders.In the 1990 s,the user-centered empathic design tried to solve the gap between users and designers based on the theory of empathy,and the designer-led design activities still held the initiative and were more focused on solving the design problems facing individuals.In today’s design environment,due to social needs,the scope of design problems is also expanding,such as the emergence of service design,system design.How to capture the psychological needs of different stakeholders is the current design difficulty.This paper proposes that the research of empathy design is based on the analysis of the concept of empathy in the psychological discipline,combined with the method of the combination of design and psychology in the design psychology,the scope of empathy design and its application are given.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter,as the introduction,defines the empathy design and the research scope of this paper.In the second chapter,the development of empathy is sorted out from the background of psychology and its influencing factors.In the third chapter,the function of the concept of empathy is analyzed in the field of design,and the difference between the concept of empathy and similar design is determined through the design positioning.In chapter four,the empathy design is disassembled from the perspective of influence,and the six-way positioning diagram of the empathy design is summarized.Combined with the analysis of typical cases of empathy design,this paper summarizes the development trend of empathy design and provides reference for design practice.The fifth chapter is the practice part,which analyzes the application of empathy design in the process of specific projects in combination with the design practice projects concerned with the well-being of the elderly in the community.The concept of empathy is an important humanistic research challenge.In order to better understand and recognize the application of the concept of empathy in design,researchers have worked hard to make this abstract concept more concrete.This paper focuses on the induction and analysis of the concept of "empathy" in the field of psychology and other fields,and studies the reason and application of its introduction into the field of design,describes the methods and tools of empathy design,as well as the application of empathy design in related cases,and makes theoretical collation to provide research ideas for the design process involving empathy.
