Jichan is a monk poet enjoying great reputation at home and abroad in modern China,who writes abundant poems throughout his life and stresses on "endowing Buddhism into poems,integrating Buddhism and poem".Poems are major carriers of his thoughts,composing poems also becomes a way to practice for him,and his Buddhist poetry,Buddhism writing,and meditation experience are filled with Buddhist thoughts He is devoted patriotic poet,caring about the nation and the world,spreading and teaching Buddhism,training monks,sparing no effect to promote modern Chinese Buddhism,causing a far-reaching influence.After wondering between renouncing and naturalizing the world,the Mahayana Buddhist thought of "renouncing the world among the society" forms.The present paper divides into five parts to interpret Master Jichan ’s Buddhist thoughts:The first part talks about how Master Jichan ’s Buddhist thoughts forms.Based on his life,learning experience,historical background,and life events,form key factors are discussed.The second part summarizes view of form-emptiness,view of Buddhist nature,and view of practice,the three sections,via the analysis of Master Jichan ’s typical Buddhism thoughts in his Buddhist poems,Buddhism writing,and personal meditation experience.The third part explore Master Jichan ’s thought of practice that reading his experiences and practices.He advocates reading Buddha;He insists on hard practice and thinking;He has been diligent in writing poetry.The fourth part describes Master Jichan ’s Mahayana Buddhist thought of ascetic practices and benefiting mankind,including the thoughts about the country and religious reform concept.The fifth part lists his contribution to Modern Chinese Buddhism and influence.He did a lot of things which revitalizing Buddhism and educating students and established of Buddhist Association.His influence is great. |
