The Application Of Bamboo Flute Performance In Chinese Orchestra

This paper is divided into three chapters,firstly introduces the origin of the Chinese Orchestra,then analyses the development and application of bamboo flute performance in a Chinese Orchestra.The main content is discussing about the intonation of the bamboo flute,how to select the most suitable key bamboo flute for repertoires,the membrane affected due to temperature and humidity changes,teamwork between section players.the complexity and suggestions to improve on modern Chinese Orchestra works,aiming to aid the flute Orchestra players in the future.The author believes that this is the responsibility of Orchestra player to be aware of these content,in order to be able to perform better as a Chinese Orchestra bamboo flutist.The main idea and content in this paper is through the author’s personal experience and thoughts gained from working in a professional Chinese Orchestra.I hope this article can benefit the Chinese Orchestra bamboo flutists,even the non-bamboo flutist,to having a better understanding of the performance and practice of a Chinese Orchestra bamboo flutist.
