The Contemporary Expression Of Abstract Expressionism In Pastels

Art has been given the meaning of “salvation” since its birth.The emergence of abstract expression is not only because it breaks the previous painting experience,but more importantly,the emotional power conveyed by abstract artists through painting tools.The pursuit of a sense of form without the expression of thoughts and emotions,the work is just an empty shell,and the abstract expression will not be passed down to this day.The reason why abstract expression is still able to rejuvenate in today’s society lies in its epochal nature.This article intends to explore the central thesis of combining abstract expressionism with ceramic on-glaze pastel painting,and combining with the contemporary background,the author’s thinking around the epidemic is the subject of creation,and abstract expression is the art of the last century.The positive meaning that society is still booming.This article proposes to study the inheritance and innovation spirit of the combination of abstract expression and over-glaze pastel painting in the current era through three researches: literature research,image research and own practice creation research.2020 is an extremely difficult year for the whole world.The epidemic has brought global development to a standstill,and the world has shown a downward trend.The author intends to pass this graduation project,hoping to re-examine the relationship between man and nature with the meaning of "saving" embodied in the painting,and to treat disaster and death in a correct way.
