Research On The Application Of Chinese Zodiac Theme In Ceramic Decoration Design

With the respect of Chinese zodiac culture,there have been many art forms related to Chinese zodiac theme.As a form of expressing Chinese zodiac culture,Chinese zodiac porcelain is popular in recent years.Zodiac porcelain is the materialized carrier of Zodiac culture,which is of extraordinary significance to the inheritance and development of traditional culture.The artistic images of the Zodiac are colorful and different in shape,with distinct folk culture characteristics and unique visual symbol characteristics,which is beneficial for ceramic practitioners to create recognizable and unique ceramic works.With the help of the beauty of ceramic materials and glaze colors,Zodiac porcelain is full of more possibilities in decoration form,expression technique and pattern structure,which injects new vitality into the development of ceramic art.In the creation of Chinese zodiac theme,new cultural contents and artistic styles emerge one after another.As contemporary people,it is beneficial to the development of ceramic art and the inheritance and continuation of national traditional culture to constantly explore and innovate the performance of Chinese zodiac theme in ceramic creation and make it meet the diversified aesthetic needs of consumption.In this paper,the origin and development of Chinese zodiac culture are analyzed,combined with the application of Chinese zodiac theme in traditional and modern ceramics,the artistic forms,expression techniques and aesthetic characteristics are analyzed.By studying modern diversified Chinese zodiac schema and combining ancient and modern ceramic decoration techniques,Chinese zodiac elements are innovatively designed,so as to better carry forward the connotation of traditional culture with works and provide exploratory research for the application of Chinese zodiac theme in ceramic decoration design.
