Analysis Of Composition Techniques For Zhang Haofu’s Cello Orchestra "THE SONG FROM HEAVEN"

Zhang Haofu is one of the influential contemporary composers in China,and the Cello Orchestra "THE SONG FROM HEAVEN" is one of the major masterpieces of Professor Zhang Haofu.This article studies and analyzes the structural form of this work,the comprehensive use of harmony and polyphony,the acoustic layout,and the use of traditional Chinese folk music in the orchestra,in order to understand and study the composer’s creative approach of fusing modern compositional techniques with traditional folk music;to study the composer’s creative style and creative thinking;and to explore the cultural connotations of this work.The article concludes with a look at Professor Zhang Haofu’s other representative works from this work and summarizes the spiritual pursuit he conveyed through his musical works.
