On The Historical Origin And Musical Characteristics Of Longdong Folk Songs

Longdong,located in the eastern part of Gansu Province,is the intersection of Shaanxi,Gansu and Ningxia provinces.It mainly includes today’s Qingyang City and some areas.Longdong area belongs to the inland middle reaches of the Yellow River,known as "the world’s first loess tableland".The loess landforms here are in various shapes and styles,which have created a rich and colorful folk customs,folk feelings and folk songs.In particular,love and marriage songs,whether in language or in tune,have distinctive regional characteristics.This paper discusses the historical origin and musical characteristics of Longdong folk songs,and analyzes the artistic characteristics of its excellent work "Embroidered Smoke Pag".Starting from the creation background and the structure of music form,it further analyzes its singing skills and musical characteristics.
