Chien Chung-wei’s Watercolor Works Features Research And My Watercolor Creation Practice

Abstrace Watercolor was introduced into China from the Ming and Qing dynasties and developed in the late 19 th century.From the literal point of view,the simplest understanding of watercolor is the combination of "water" and "color".The thin and transparent characteristics of watercolor pigments determine that watercolor painting can not be modified for many times,which requires more stringent requirements on artists’ picture control and techniques.Chien Chung-Wei as Taiwan province one of the many excellent watercolor painter,he used thick of the sketch language of watercolor and unique understanding and feeling to present the picture of the spiritual world,his research and development of Chinese and western watercolor painting presents a better guidance,these painting ideas for the study and research watercolor has played a very important role.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of the full text.Based on the research background of this topic,the author elaborates the significance of the research on the art of Chien Chung-Wei’s watercolor painting,the analysis of the current situation at home and abroad and the research methods.The second chapter expounds the growth of his watercolor art by introducing his personal art experience and his artistic ideas,and compares the artistic characteristics of his early and present watercolor works to analyze the reasons for their evolution.The third chapter takes Chien Chung-Wei’s watercolor works as the breakthrough point,and intends to deeply analyze the artistic language and technique of expression of the picture from the composition,color and artistic conception of his watercolor works.The fourth chapter will combine the process of personal graduation creation practice,expatiate the guidance and inspiration of Chien Chung-Wei’s watercolor art to the author in subject matter,technique and artistic expression.In this chapter,the author will systematically analyze the creation idea from the sources of inspiration,the collection and arrangement of materials,and the creation process,and apply the painting inspiration obtained from the study of the expression language of Chien Chung-Wei’s watercolor art to the creative application of the graduation creation "Mark of the Old Lane" series of works.
