The Expression Of Verb Degree Meaning And Its Influencing Factors

Degree is a typical feature of adjectives.In modern Chinese,the meaning of degree is widely existing in the combination of adjectives and adverbs of degree.Our predecessors have also made a rich discussion on it,but there are relatively few achievements in observing the meaning of degree from the perspective of verbs.In order to clarify the goal and carry out refinement research,this paper makes a detailed analysis on the ways and reasons of verbs that indicates degree,focusing on the verbs with degree meaning,i.e.compound verbs with degree meaning,and using the methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis,so as to make a comprehensive and detailed analysis of it.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part mainly explains the reason and significance of the topic,the scope,method,purpose and value of the research,and summarizes the research status and achievements of the degree sense compound verbs in the academic circle.The second part gives a simple definition of degree,and makes a detailed analysis of its performance in adjectives,nouns and verbs.It holds that "degree" is human’s understanding on the high and low differences of the characteristics contained in the object through mutual comparison,and the degree of adjectives is the difference of character specialties,the degree of nouns is the difference of attribute characteristics,and the degree of verbs is the difference of movement characteristics.The third part starts from the problem of "whether verbs have degree meaning",divides the presentation of degree meaning into two processes: from recessive to explicit and from nothing to have,and analyzes the specific ways of expressing the degree meaning of verbs in each process.The fourth part mainly composes the lexical classification of the degree meaning compound verb,and finds that the relationship between different lexical methods and degree expression is strong and weak,in which the adverbial-verb structure is the dominant structure of verb table degree,and holds that the cognitive framework of "degree-action" affects the dominant structure of the meaning expression of verb degree.The fifth part mainly discusses the structure of the form composed of degree adverbs,negative adverbs and degree meaning compound verbs,and holds that high degree of meaning determines that partially meaning compound verbs cannot be combined with negative words,degree adverbs,psychological state meaning and the ambiguity of the structure of words,weak degree of meaning constraints determine part of the degree of meaning compound verbs can be combined with negative words and degree adverbs.The sixth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the research results and conclusions of this paper,and points out the problems that should be further studied.
