A Music Journey Through Time And Space

The Walking Man is an exotic guzheng concerto work,written in a narrative style to recreate the ancient Silk Road.This paper is based on the context of the work and explores further its performance method and emotional expression in terms of performance techniques and other aspects.The main text consists of four chapters:the first is a study of the introductory performance narrative,which explores the history of Guzi from the perspective of its mysterious and heavy feel,its unique rhythmic rhythm and timbre;the second is a study of the slow performance narrative,which is like stepping into Guzi’s homeland and includes elements of"Xi’an drumming",the use of syncopated rhythms,the use of shaking fingers and the use of rests.The third chapter is an analysis of the narrative of the Allegro,which is like being in a passionate dance,in terms of rhythm,timbre,melodic direction and mood;the fourth chapter is an interpretation of the recapitulation of the slow movement,which transforms the mood through overtones and the return of the dream.This article follows the narrative expression of music,starting from the perspective of the "practitioner",exploring the world and thinking about life,feel the inheritance and tolerance of Chinese culture.
