Reading and writing are the basic content of English learning, and it is also an important method of English learning. With the development of network technology and the advent of the information age, more and more students are losing interest in traditional literacy classroom teaching. In this case, flipped classrooms have emerged at the historic moment becoming the focus of research.Because of this, research on flipped classrooms at home and abroad has focused on the theory and practical application of flipped classrooms, and the application and practice of flipped classrooms. It is mainly based on the whole classroom, and there is rarely a separate discussion of activities in the classroom. This research, which is based on autonomous learning theory, cooperative learning theory, and mastery of learning theory, mainly adopts a combination of interview method, questionnaire survey method, and case study method. The ordinary students in the first grade of a middle-high school are selected as the research object.Without a control group,a combination of pre-test and post-test was used to study the design of activities in English reading and writing lessons in flipped classrooms. The activity design in the lesson is mainly composed of five parts:warms up,timely teaching,role-playing(this part needs to choose the appropriate method according to the specific content),review, and course summary.First, the teacher chooses to carry out discussion activities or games related to the theme of this lesson to introduce students to learning;second, the teacher explains and answers questions according to the students’ pre-class learning situation;third, the teacher helps students to organize classroom activities;fourth, the teacher and student review the contents of the pre-learning task list again after the activity;fifth, the teacher makes a summary of the lesson. This research aims to solve two problems: 1.How to organize the flipped classroom teaching of English reading and writing in high school accurately and efficiently? 2.Can the design of classroom activities of high school English literacy classes based on flipped classrooms improve students’ classroom learning efficiency? Before the research was carried out,the author firstly conducted questionnaire surveys and aptitude tests on students. It was found that students generally believed that English learning was too difficult to generate a strong motivation for learning, and even unwilling to learn by themselves. On this basis, the author carried out a four-month classroom activity of reading and writing classes fromSeptember 2018 to January 2019.And the author conducted two tests on the experimental subject firstly. After the experiment, the author also conducted two test tests on the students. Finally, the writer sums up its successful experience and discusses the specific design of activities in high school English reading and writing lessons. The analysis of experimental data shows that students explore and discover knowledge by themselves in the flipped classroom teaching model, which greatly improves their enthusiasm and interest,so the design of classroom activities of high school English literacy classes based on flipped classrooms improve students’ classroom learning efficiency.
