| Ursula K.Le Guin is a well-known American feminist writer. She is good at writing fantasy literature. Her creative path is accompanied by the emergence of feminist thoughts. She has integrated her thinking about women into fantasy novels. This thesis will start from the perspective of post-modern feminism, based on sufficient close reading of the text,to explore how Le Guin participates in the feminist movement through creative practice. The cognitive and estrangement characteristics of Le Guin’s fantasy novels have a resonance effect with feminism.Le Guin firstly maps the otherness of women in the real society from the cognitive characteristics of fantasy novels, and then put forward the necessity of establishing a female subject. In Le Guin’s writing process, the thoughts of female subjectivity went from the initial budding of individual subjective consciousness to "intersubjectivity" and finally reached the mature thoughts of establishing female pedigree. At the same time,Le Guin also started from the estrangement characteristics of fantasy novels, and constantly explored the differences between men and women based on various differences,so as to achieve a possible world of harmonious coexistence.Whether it is the transition from the female other to the female subject,or the exploration of the possibility of harmonious coexistence between men and women,it is a witness to the maturity of Le Guin’s female subjectivity thoughts and a strong proof of her active participation in the wave of feminist thought. |
