A Study On The Construction Of Interpersonal Relations In The Third-party Personal Reference

Based on the theory of position trigonometry and the theory of functional grammar,this thesis focuses on the referential terms used to refer to third-party figures in communication,under the guidance of Constructivism,this paper studies the interpersonal construction of the third-party personal reference in communication.This paper first summarizes the linguistic forms of the third-party personal deixis,and divides the third-party personal deixis into two categories: lexical form and structural form.Referential words contain less information and have higher accessibility,which means that they are more familiar to the sender.The referential structure,by contrast,often requires more processing by the referential receiver.The relationship between the sender and the receiver of the reference is mutual,and it also reflects the relationship with the third party.In communication,the relationship among the sender,the receiver and the addressee of the reference is constantly measured and negotiated with the generation and adjustment of the discourse,forming a dynamic triangle on the psychological level,the relationship between any two parties is bi-directional,dynamic and cumulative.The main cognitive activities in the construction of reference include pragmatic presupposition and pragmatic inference,which involve both sides.Pragmatic presupposition emphasizes the cognitive activity before the referent is determined by the referent and the cognitive activity before the referent is received by the referent receiver,while pragmatic inference emphasizes the cognitive activity after the referent receives the new reference.Through this cognitive process,the referent chooses a proper referent.In the process of communication,the two parties share new and old information,strengthen or adjust the position of the referential object,and the referential object,as an agreed information object,restricts the referential choice of the two parties under the changing information.When the alleged sender does not make full allegations or makes allegations that the receiver does not expect,resulting in bad reception by the alleged receiver,it will lead to further consultation between the two sides,which is reflected in the adjustment of the language of the reference.In all the third-party alleged behaviors,the information processing ability and emotional attitude of the alleged receiver are important considerations.After a series of cognitive activities on the communicative participants and the referential expressions,the third-party personal deictic expressions from the referents realize the construction of meaning in three levels: conceptual meaning,interpersonal meaning and textual meaning.The construction of experiential meaning refers to the function of the third party’s personal reference to conceptualize and categorize the communicative role and construct the activity scene.The construction of interpersonal meaning refers to the third-party personal reference which can reflect the relations among the three parties in communication and convey the three levels of the referent’s position,evaluation and emotion.The construction of textual meaning refers to the distribution of the new and old information that can be conveyed by the third-party personal reference,which constructs the relationship between the characters in the circulation of the new and old information.This paper focuses on the interaction among the sender,the receiver and the addressee of the reference,pays attention to the interpretation from the perspective of the receiver of the reference,and studies the construction of the interpersonal relationship of the third-party personal reference from a dynamic and developmental perspective,in the process of communication,interpersonal relationship is constantly rebuilt or strengthened.
