On The Performance Of Pipa Duet "Dragon Boat"

Pipa,as a musical instrument,has been spread in the long history of the Chinese nation.After several years of development and change,the performance form of Pipa has changed from the accompaniment,solo and instrumental ensemble of ancient court song and dance to the diversified development of concerto and ensemble.In recent years,with the continuous improvement of people’s aesthetic level,ensemble,as a kind of art with unique charm,has played a positive role in students’ hearing training,timbre processing and parts coordination.The Pipa song "Dragon Boat" is regarded as one of the Chinese traditional large-scale songs and dances.Composer Chen Zijing created the sound effect of gong and drum in the music.The unique structural characteristics,distinctive artistic image and profound cultural heritage of the music show the strong artistic charm incisively and vividly.Taking the Pipa duet "Dragon Boat" written by Zhang Buchan and edited by Wu Qiong as an example.Through the study of the cultural background,performance techniques,and vocal structure of the repertoire "Dragon Boat," the students will explore the composition characteristics,techniques,and vocal coordination of the piece.On the basis of this study,we hope to provide demonstration and theoretical support for future performances of such works.
