"New Documentary" Of The West In China: Its Leending And Juxtaposition On The Concepts

In the 1970 s,Western new documentary began to revisit the expression of "fiction",calling it a Western new documentary.At the beginning of the 2000 s,Chinese film researchers began to pay attention to new documentary and conducted relevant translation and thinking,before the rise of Chinese mass culture and triggered the road of documentary change.Based on the core literature,this paper tries to revisit the reasons,evolution process and its academic debate,answer "what the new documentary is";explore the process of the concept of "new documentary" into China,and study the bottom of the new documentary movement period To clarify the relationship between western new documentary and the Chinese new documentary movement;finally,put the western new documentary in the historical context of contemporary Chinese documentary history research,to find the development and evolution of western new documentary in China.The article first analyzes the western new documentary,namely," new documentary" itself is not a school of theory,but a new type of documentary in the new stage of documentary development,traced back to the rebellion of direct film,down can connect the development of journey documentary and reality TV.Secondly,it discusses the development of Chinese documentary during the China new documentary Movement period.On the one hand,although Chinese documentaries have completed the cycle of fiction-nonfiction-fiction,they lag on the whole,which has triggered a series of discussions on the authenticity of documentaries.In view of the short chaos caused by documentary critical discourse,we will deeply explore the localization of western "new documentary" in China,among which the localization of artistic means is easy to operate,but the ideological expression is difficult to be equivalent.Comparing the connotation of the "new documentary" in the Chinese and Western context,the "new" of the "new documentary" in the Chinese documentary is more manifested as the independent spirit of the documentary,but the West is "new documentary " pays more attention to "new fiction ".China’s "new documentary" obviously shows the tendency to "doctrine" in the creation concept.In the creation,with direct film as the guidance,it was awarded the title of "new documentary".At this time,the Wiseman myth has not yet dispersed in China.This creative technique of vigorously promoting the principle of long lens,simultaneous sound and non-interference is regarded as a "new documentary" in China,causing a misreading.Nevertheless,the New documentary movement solved the problem of "modernity" of Chinese documentaries,made Chinese documentary creation in good line with the market,and liberated documentary creation from the old system.After2005,reality is no longer the entangled central topic,but diversification,marketization and internationalization have become the theme of development.
