North And South-The Geography Of Jin Yucheng’s Fiction

Jin Yucheng’s novels are full of mysterious regional features and legendary life experiences,which are not only embodied in novel’s The Flowers,in his short stories,The age of reshuffle,Night,Bowl,Cold,Look Back and so on.Three unique life experiences make the author form a unique perspective of “The other”.Jin Yucheng infuses the novel with the peculiar regional style and the unique folk custom life,causes its work to display the local scene profoundly and truly,presents the complex regional image.This paper is divided into four parts to discuss Jin Yucheng’s novels.The first part is to sort out and define the relevant theories of “Region”,to explore the guiding significance of the emergence of the Cultural geography theory of region,and to discuss the regional factors existing in Jin Yucheng’s novels with the text,and the unique contribution of these regional factors in the novel.The second part is the textual embodiment of regional culture in Jin Yucheng’s novels,this paper probes into the value and contribution of the region in the novel text from three aspects: the symbolic meaning of the region symbol,the whole classification of the figures and the contribution of the region to the narrative structure.The third part is to explain what kind of southern world and northern world are presented in Jin Yucheng’s novels.Firstly,it breaks the traditional regional stereotypes and not only reconstructs the new world of the sense subject,he also wrote about the history of Shanghai.The south and the north are not completely separated,there is a relationship of confrontation and negotiation between them.The fourth part is the first three parts on the basis of a summary,from the dialect,“Epic” folklore and other aspects of the value of Jin Yucheng’s novels,thinking about its great significance.
