| In 2016,President Xi Jinping,who is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee stressed at the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities,“We must persist in taking the moral education as the central link,and integrate the ideological and political work throughout the whole process of education and teaching,so as to achieve full education and all-round education,and strive to create a new prospect for the development of higher education in China.” And pointed out: “The ideological and political education work should run through the whole education and teaching work,to make good use of the main channel of classroom teaching,all kinds of courses should go with the ideological and political courses,to form a synergistic effect.”This study aims to verify the significance and possibility of the integration of curriculum ideological and political education with senior high school English teaching,and the possibility of bringing the cultivation of socialist core values into English classroom teaching.The study integrates ideological and political education into English classroom teaching,carries out curriculum ideological and political education,tries to innovate teaching methods suitable for high school English teaching ideological and political education combined with the new curriculum reform and teaching material content.Then integrate high school English teaching material resources,create lively and novel teaching situation to strengthen Chinese traditional culture education,and carry out “second classroom”.This study learns the degree of understanding and practice of most teachers in integrating curriculum ideological and political education into English teaching by interviewing English teachers in the experimental school.Through the analysis of interviews,questionnaires of students in experimental class and control class,the feasibility of curriculum ideological and political education in high school English teaching is explored.The experimental class adds the elements of curriculum ideological and political education into daily English teaching,while the control class still carries out teaching according to the traditional teaching method.It is found that it is practicable to apply ideological and political education to senior high school English teaching.At the teaching level,we can realize the ideological and political education of the course through the in-depth excavation of the content of the textbook,which not only helps students form the correct “Three Outlooks”,effectively enhance the feelings of home and country,but also improves their interest in English learning. |
