Research On Pastoral Sanqu Of Yuan Dynasty

The special social background of Yuan Dynasty made rural countryside the best place for literati to place their emotions,and pastoral life became a fashion of scholars.Pastoral Sanqu came into being and became a particularly important theme in Sanqu.The purpose of this paper is to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study of pastoral Sanqu,which consists of the following parts:The first chapter analyzes the creation ecology and general situation of pastoral Sanqu in Yuan Dynasty.The analysis of the creation ecology is a basis for understanding the creation of literati in the Yuan Dynasty.The Yuan Dynasty was a dynasty ruled by ethnic minorities.Since the Mongolian entered the Central Plains,they implemented a series of high-pressure policies and abolished the imperial examination system.This is the main reason why the literati in the Yuan Dynasty went to the countryside.The change of social background will inevitably lead to the change of literati’s psychological state.The mentality of literati in Yuan Dynasty is mainly reflected in the helplessness of avoiding the world and the leisure of reclusive self-adaptation,which directly affects the choice of creative themes and the emotional connotation of the works;Meanwhile,it makes a general sorting of the pastoral Sanqu and makes quantitative statistics on the works.The second chapter expounds the emotional connotation of pastoral Sanqu in Yuan Dynasty.The emotional connotation of pastoral Sanqu in Yuan Dynasty can be divided as follows: the thought of returning to the field when traveling in a foreign land,the reclusive feelings of leisure and indifference,the sentimental sadness of having no choice but to seclusion,the quiet and beautiful rural scenery and the joy and sorrow of people’s life.The third chapter analyzes the artistic characteristics of pastoral Sanqu.Through a variety of ways of layout,vivid and clear language and flexible and free form to analyze the aesthetic tendency of pastoral Sanqu.The overall characteristics of vulgarity contain elegant aesthetic consciousness and expression methods,which are mainly reflected in the vulgarity of language and the elegance of emotion,the vulgarity of content and the elegance of artistic conception,and the particularity of social background and the psychological conflict between elegance and vulgarity of scholars in Yuan Dynasty are the main reasons for the elegance in the vulgarity.The last section discusses the evolution of pastoral Sanqu from natural to beautiful and elegant,mainly from the use of language,the use of implicit techniques and the reduction of lining characters.
